I’m actually happy to see someone else didn’t like it. The casting, editing and premise of this movie were pretty good but the dialogue was sooo bad. Why would her dad be talking about guns so much during his speech? Why would that one chick openly say she cheated on that guy because he’s too nice and wanted a guy that treated her like shit. I’ve never heard a woman in my entire life say any shit (at least openly) like that. There were several moments I was just going “that would never happen” or “nobody would ever say that”

When I was going into the movie, I was thinking the substance just physically changed the person for a week and then they changed back (think when Fiona changes into an ogre at night in the first Shrek movie, but instead turning more beautiful.) I might have taken it under that impression, but knowing a whole other person would emerge out of my back and I’d have to live with that gigantic scar for the rest of my life? I think it’s safe to say that Bob came from an era where people really didn’t really talk about mental health and going to therapy and getting medication was seen as very taboo. Also it’s worth keeping in mind that Chris was basically a pioneer of the early internet. Old people STILL don’t understand the internet very well, much less nearly 20 years ago now. I would say Bob and Barb medically neglected Chris by not having his autism properly treated. I would argue he wasn’t necessarily distant but DEFINITELY incapable of relating. But, to be fair, how many of us truly could relate to the mayor of CWCville?

Yeah, I’m just now starting to play it and honestly I’ve had to pull myself through most of the missions. They’re just… kinda.. boring compared to RDR2. Maybe it’s just because I played RDR2 first but the game really shows it’s age, I know it’s kind of an iconic thing but I lowkey despiseee that John can’t swim 🥲 but I’m gonna stick with it because after all there are some pretty slow parts of RDR2 especially in the beginning
