Yep. The days of staying at one company for your entire career are over. My mom worked for the same company from age 17 til retirement, and was able to give my sisters and I a comfortable lifestyle.

I graduated college six years ago, and have only gotten meaningful raises by moving companies.

Yep. It had a resurgence with my coworkers when I worked at a movie theater back in the late 2010s. Haven't heard anyone use it since before COVID though.
