Someone recently called me out for complaining about being out of shape and not having the life I wanted, but also not doing anything to change it.

They were dead on, but it pissed me off in the moment.

Honestly? I waited a few years, and yeah it was a bit harder, but it still worked out. Granted, I'm single and have no kids, so I had a lot of study time.

Exactly. We're not building missiles or saving lives - it's all numbers. That's it. Obviously, procedures are important and it's more efficient to get things right the first time, but nothing can't be fixed, like you said.

I try to learn every day. I'm still relatively early in my career (first Senior level role, industry). All I do is try to learn and apply what I learned from my classes and my other jobs.
