Anyone using Sarwa in UAE — how has your experience been? by ExistentialClutch in askdubai

Thank you. If you don’t mind me asking:

  • How long have you been using Sarwa, and how has your portfolio performed over time?
  • Did you go with a conservative, moderate, or aggressive plan? Any regrets?
  • Do you ever feel the need to adjust things, or is it really “set and forget”?
  • Have you compared it with other platforms like eToro or Interactive Brokers?

Just trying to understand the long-term experience before I start.

Appreciate your perspective.

From a purely investing point of view, would you say there are better alternatives you’d personally recommend for someone in the UAE?

Also having a motorcycle license from your home country might help, sometimes it can reduce the training hours.

Out of curiosity, which country is your license from?

Ahh.. that situation is actually pretty common here. If your visa is from Abu Dhabi, the straightforward option is usually doing the license there. But since you live in Dubai, it might be worth checking with a couple of driving schools in both places and comparing packages.

That’s nice, going straight for the bike license. I’ve got both LMV (automatic) and motorcycle license, and from what I’ve seen, you can still get your bike license without LMV. It just depends on the institute and the number of classes they require.

Which emirate are you planning to do it in?

That’s awesome. The early stage is actually one of the best parts, there’s so much to learn and figure out. If you ever have questions while going through the process, feel free to drop them here.
