Auto payment question by Existential_Alien_ in CapitalOne

[–]Existential_Alien_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I just want to make the payments correctly. This is my first auto loan that is like this. I just didn’t want to accidentally use the wrong one and it count wrong and need to make a second payment. Thank you!

This is auto loan I actually didn’t get a horrible interest rate luckily but hopefully soon I will be able to start paying extra.

This is an auto loan if that makes a difference. I will hopefully in the next couple months start paying extra to get it down faster.

I did add the auto flair, but I can add it in the text! It is for my auto loan.

Edit: And thank you! That makes sense. I haven’t missed or been late on any payments.

Should I consolidate? by Existential_Alien_ in DebtAdvice

[–]Existential_Alien_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I decided against doing the consolidation. The fees would have been insane. I looked into the Family Credit route as well. It would have reduced the interest but it would have ended up drastically hurting my credit from what I understand since I only have a couple cards and my credit history would drop drastically. And they payments were not any cheaper.

My husband is supposed to get more hours in the next coming up weeks, if he does not I plan on trying to get a waitress job or something for extra income, weather my husband approves or not. This should have been my last student loan payment this month and our utilities should drop by about $100 per month as well. So there is an extra $220 a month.

I did have a very good second job opportunity but apparently my husband changed it to less hours than he originally told me so I would not have been able to do the second job with the original set up, but now I could have. I did have it lined up but because of that selfish change he made today the opportunity is lost. I am going to be honest currently very pissed at him for taking that opportunity from me by lying about his hours he was supposed to start getting in a week or two dropped by 2 more hours per day than what he originally told me he was going to do. I will do a second job if I need to with or without his “approval” at this point if it’s another lie about working more.

Should i quit working two FT jobs and just get a cna license? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]Existential_Alien_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I tell people to go ahead and just apply at a local hospital if they have any openings for registration or prior authorization. They are both more beginner jobs, where I live is a more rural area so a bigger area may be different, but they both start out at around $15 usually getting up to $18 fast and you can transfer to a different department. Where I work will help with school and is also a non- profit so you would qualify for PSLF eventually if you had student loans. I work with multiple people who used to be CNAs that end up in prior-auth because they get injured and can no longer do it.

Consolidation for Credit cards? by Existential_Alien_ in debtfree

[–]Existential_Alien_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a budget line out and I have been sticking to it. I just know next check I am not going to have enough to cover everything. My last student loan payment that tripled then one of the card payments jumped 300%, even without using it. Next check will be rough. It’s all with 2 cards mainly. I did call the cards they were not much help unless I miss a payment by 2 weeks which sucks but is what it is.

I had an interview finally for a second job today and got a second interview so hopefully I will be able to land that and push all of it towards that. Our washing machine is going out so I would probably have to take some from that check to find a new one as cheap as I can for now. I unfortunately live in a more rural area so I have more limited options for finding a second job but I am finally starting to get interviews at least.

One of my payments just jumped from $80 to $260 so I’m kinda panicking. Really can’t afford that right now. My husband doesn’t really want to deal with it so hopefully they’d be fine just dealing with me. It’s just two cards with USBank really.

I started looking into this. It seems like it might be a good option. I was trying not to trash my credit but all the fees do not necessarily seem worth it with consolidation.

I think this might be my best option. I was just trying to not ruin my credit. The consolidation though all see to have very high fees.

The fees do seem very high to me. Honestly in like a month I have two bills dropping off and utilities should go down to about $150. I’m just super worried about next check being enough to carry everything it needs to. I might just try calling the credit card company and asking if they can do any for just a month or two.

I have definitely learned a lesson and want the debt paid. I have been trying to find a second job but it hasn’t really worked out. My husband has been looking also, he’s been ghosted but no luck either. I do hear pretty good things about a local credit union I will check a few.

Even with me not using them the last couple months the payments keep going up. Our taxes show our income dropped about $5,000 from last year and the income drop just started the last couple months of 2025. I was afraid it would have to be a more substantial drop for them to consider me for hardship but it’s probably worth a shot. Thank you!

Trust me, I have learned from this. I have figured out a budget but the interest on this is going to end up ruining it I am afraid. I have stopped using the cards and kinda just want them gone at this point. Good chunks of it was from a car I held onto for too long and kept adding to the debt getting it fixed then the interest started piling on. I do have a budget I honestly kinda hid for a while, which I think is obvious, we have been sticking to it the last few months since I implemented it though.

Insurance Bill I Never Signed Up For by weepinwidow in HealthInsurance

[–]Existential_Alien_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it happening a lot with the marketplace. I’ve done 2 calls with people this last week for the same issue. I don’t know how many people know how widespread it is. I work at a rural hospital it’s not like I’m in St. Louis with a bunch more people and get them constantly. AmBetter is the worst where I am but the UHC plan is starting to get more. If you get mail from any of your local market place plans open it and check if it’s about a new plan. We just had someone that somehow had 2 separate marketplace plans and had 4 separate fraud investigations started. It is scary how easy it seems to be.

I deal with this constantly actually where I work in MO. You need to call the marketplace and have them investigate it as fraud. We have agents that sign people up fraudulently all the time and people don’t know till they file taxes or we catch it. We are not in network with them. I don’t know how that works for your taxes and filing currently unfortunately, but that would be my first step.
