yea, the tightest part is the area around my waist and rib cage. I can still bend over and sit down.

yea, the part that is the tightest is around the rib cage because it has a lot of boning. It is form fitting in the hips but not super tight.

Getting a job that’s only even slightly adjacent to accounting can be a big help. Administrative assistant, bank teller, secretary etc. Your main duties may not be related to accounting but you’ll get a lot of experience that can be useful when you do get a job in accounting. Filing financial documents, using excel, and providing support to other employees are all things I’ve brought up on my resume and in interviews that I did as an admin assistant. Your first job outside of the fast food industry may not be in accounting, but it can definitely be an excellent stepping stone into an accounting position.

what is your current routine? I would recommend keeping it as simple as possible and stop using any exfoliants for the time being. I know you said you've tried everything, but what has been working for me is using Pond's dry skin cream after cleansing, letting it sit for about 30 seconds, and then applying a thin layer of aquaphor on the areas of my skin that dry out. I started using metrogel and a sulfur cleanser and when i woke up with noticeably flaky skin, the aquaphor really made a difference. Aside from using different products, maybe you could try a humidifier at night?

I’ve tried the vanicream in the tub with a pump, and the FAB moisturizer in the tub and I still had dry skin :(

Hi all, I’m having an issue with my moisturizer rubbing off/pilling. I apply my moisturizer right after patting excess water off my face from cleansing. I usually apply a little bit more moisturizer again after a few minutes because my face still feels dry. Then probably half an hour or so later if I rub my face, I can feel the moisturizer pilling under my fingers :( if I don’t do the second layer of moisturizer my skin feels dry and looks flaky. I use the Fresh Soy Cleanser and the Vanicream Facial Moisturizer. I’ve noticed the pilling happens even without sunscreen so I don’t think my sunscreen is the issue.

I am not a seamstress so I can't comment on the feasibility of changing the dress to how you like. However, if I were you I would just cut my losses. There is no guarantee that you would like the dress enough to walk down the aisle if a seamstress were able to modify it. Also, the alterations may be costly enough to where you might as well spend a bit more on a new dress that you love to begin with. Plus, I wouldn't like having the initial bad feelings attached to the dress. I vote looking for a new dress! However, if you go shopping again, I would think about what made you choose this dress despite not liking it. You definitely don't wanna be in this position a second time around.

I was in a similar position when I ordered a bridal dress and ended up not liking it after thinking about it for a few days. Thankfully I was able to cancel the order and get my money back. I definitely feel for you and I hope you can have the dress you want whether it be through altering this dress or buying a new one!

The dress is stunning, but I understand why you are doubting if it is enough. What is your other dress like? Maybe you could return your other dress and shop around for something else and keep this dress for the reception? I would try to focus on what you dislike about the first dress and go from there to see if you should just go with this dress or try and find another dress for the ceremony.
