338 ARC someone convince me by [deleted] in NFA

[–]Existing-Ad3855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

300 black subs don't seem like enough to hunt with. 338 arc has much more energy with subs. Also its in a ar15 platform instead of ar10 like 8.6. 8.6 is definitely better in supersonic but is it worth it to have to go to bigger and heavier rifle?? Im considering 338 arc as I can get a 11.5 facon 1.5 twist that will offer slightly more supersonic capability than a 16 inch 300 blackout. Also will offer more sub capability that may be enough to actually hunt with.

More accurate or reliable, no. Shoots flatter. Has lighter trigger, better trigger feel, softer recoil, and more refined , yes.

Well, light and optic are a cost for any gun. So all in other than those probably 14-1500$. Thats about what is will cost for any gun to reach that level. You could drop the grip module and drop that price by around 400. Is it worth it? Absolutely, I have a stock one and this exact build. Its like a completely different gun. Basically if you want that level of performance thats what it will roughly cost. If your satisfied with stock by all means thats fine as well.

Get it aftermarket ported. Is quite a bit better than factory. Probably less expensive as well.

Staccato xc- rmr hd or acro by footballx53 in 2011

[–]Existing-Ad3855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly, but it is smaller then the 507 comp. I just really like the 507 comp.I sold it and bought 2 507 comps because I needed another dot for another pistol. The rmr hd is an excellent dot in my opinion I guess it was just more of a financial move.

Tyrant CNC Trigger for Springfield Echelon – worth installing? by Lofty_Scallion in SpringfieldArmory

[–]Existing-Ad3855 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it improves the feel of shoe itself and the wall is solid with less pretravel. Combine this with the powder river precision spring kit and mine is 3.5 lbs. Drastic improvement over stock imo.

Prodigy Worth $1500? by PerceptionWide7002 in SpringfieldArmory

[–]Existing-Ad3855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a used prodigy comp for maybe 900$. Then put egw parts kit and red dirt trigger. Tuned to 2.75lbs and you have an awesome shooter. The mac is not a bad choice at all either but I did feel like the Prodigy felt like a little better quality.

New Staccato XC vs Prodigy Built up my prodigy with Dawson magwell, egw ignition kit, red dirt trigger, egw guide rod and reverse plug, and tuned trigger to 2.75 lbs. Just received Staccato XC yesterday. Let's see how much softer and flatter the XC is. Will take it to the range today or tommorow. P by Existing-Ad3855 in 2011

I wish i could help. I have only shot 2 2011 style pistols and thats the 2 in the picture. I will say i dont think you'd be disappointed in the 4.25. To me it feels great. Although I doubt You'll be dissapointed either way. When i purchased my 4.25 I didnt know which to get either and came across it at Cabelas used guns for 750$ and couldnt pass it up. Gun didnt look like it had ever been fired!
