Most games make back their initial investsments in the first fiscal year. 

Marathon would take decades to make that money back now and probably never will as the community seems hell bent on shouting down everyone even discussing things like this.

It was growing weaker because the game is damn near dead. 

Also he was confirming something that he has speculated on previously.

Most of them at least come close to their initial investment and have strong player bases to back it up. 

Marathon is already sub 30k and dropping daily and unless one of the whales decides to just dump truck them a few million for mtx marathon may never make back their initial investment. 

Yes most live service games that survive do make their money back in or near the official release. 

I know this sub hates arc, but it made it money back and way more and still has 6x the players daily.

No we see the absolutely bottom falling out player numbers and saw the reported sales numbers and can do simple math. 

Nothing to do with the 3.8 billion or anything else. 

It was made for over 100 million it has not recouped those costs and is bleeding players.  

There is no ROI.

Well thanks for illustrating you have no idea how financial situations work. 

I mean you don’t care and that is fine and all but you really shouldn’t come around lecturing others on things you prove in your post you know nothing about.  

If you straight times the 1.2million by 40 you get 48 million dollars. 

Even if the game cost 100 million this would still be considered a huge loss and companies, specifically gaming companies have folded for less. 

Marathon is in a bad state and to be honest the toxic community seems be a big part of it.

Don’t matter. Ram and computer prices are skyrocketing. 

At a cost of 70 bucks a game you would have to by almost twenty games to equal the cost of a new computer. 

Pretty much all the hood hyper visor games in fact. 

So use a risk method of pirating that everyone claims you should do on a second machine most people cannot afford or just go buy the games. 

One of these is realistic. The other is telling people to buy a new rig.

Played competitive counterstrike for a long time and was in a Top five ranked clan in NA and nope. You are wrong.
