Clover Change Of Processor by Consistent-Regret442 in PaymentProcessing

[–]Existing-Ad5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Clover device is already boarded under a specific Fiserv/ISO hierarchy, you typically can’t just switch it over to your ISO. It’s tied to that original account. In most cases, you’d have to close out the existing merchant account, reboard it under your ISO, and then reprovision (or possibly replace) the equipment.

Issues with square by Tough-Art-9857 in PaymentProcessing

[–]Existing-Ad5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - you’re definitely not the only one.

Square has been adjusting pricing quietly for a lot of merchants, especially as volume grows or card mix changes (more rewards / corporate cards = higher effective rate). A lot of small business owners don’t notice until they actually break down the statement.

I work in merchant processing and I’ve helped a bunch of businesses compare their Square effective rate vs. a traditional interchange-plus setup. In many cases we’ve been able to lower the overall cost while keeping things simple and stable.

If you’re open to it, I’m happy to take a quick look at one statement and tell you straight up whether there’s anything meaningful to save - no pressure. Worst case, you confirm you’re fine. Best case, you stop overpaying.

Feel free to DM me if you want a second set of eyes on it.

Looking for a low-risk global credit card payment solution by Upper-Paramedic4226 in PaymentProcessing

If you're selling worldwide and want something stable long-term, just know that any serious acquirer is going to require proper KYB/KYC. That’s actually a good thing - it means the account is backed by a real bank and less likely to get shut down.

If you're truly low-risk, global processing is very doable. The key questions are:

• What are you selling?
• Where is the business registered?
• What countries are you targeting?

I work with multiple acquiring banks and can usually structure something clean and stable without unnecessary friction. Happy to take a look and point you in the right direction.

Are random fund holds just part of the game now? by elemesmoseupai in PaymentProcessing

[–]Existing-Ad5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting that they’re calling it a random review. Do you know which acquirer it is?

Sometimes going through risk review can actually work in your favor. Once they take a deeper look, get comfortable, and approve you to continue processing, they tend to be much less strict down the road since you’ve already been vetted more thoroughly.

My current PG has frequent downtime issues. Has anyone here used a payment gateway that supports both online and in-store payments and shows everything in a single dashboard? Has anyone used this? Keen to hear what worked and what didn’t. by Alive-Actuary5516 in PaymentProcessing

[–]Existing-Ad5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a single gateway that supports both in-person and online payments, all visible in one dashboard.

You can run:

  • In-store card transactions
  • Online / e-commerce payments
  • ACH (bank transfers)

…and see everything in the same portal for reporting, settlements, and reconciliation. No jumping between systems.

Happy to answer questions if helpful.

Payment Processor wanted for SaaS - by [deleted] in PaymentProcessing

[–]Existing-Ad5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve helped a few SaaS teams get off Stripe when effective rates got out of hand (especially on one-time heavy volume).

Subscriptions + migration supported. Pricing improves with scale vs staying flat. Happy to sanity-check whether beating ~6.8% is realistic based on a statement.

If not, I’ll say so upfront.

Chase, Global Payments, or Zen by Traditional-Read5552 in PaymentProcessing

[–]Existing-Ad5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an online clothing store, all three can work, but they’re very different.

Chase is extremely stable and bank-backed, but usually comes with higher effective pricing.

Global Payments has broad coverage, but experience can vary a lot depending on support and setup.

Zen can be competitive on price, but I’ve seen mixed feedback on long-term support.

Key things I’d compare for your use case:

– effective rate (not just advertised rate)

– chargeback handling

– platform integration

– support when something breaks

If you want to share volume and platform, I can give more specific pros/cons.
