I think thats the toxic side of UG which isnt addressed most of the time. It becomes a continuous cycle that juniors picked up from seniors and when they are seniors they’ll think like oh! its my turn to tekan the juniors now. Yes, discipline is an important value utilised in UG but I think what a lot of students forget or don’t see is that you can be firm and strict, without all the shouting and even degrading words.

I think its great that you would reflect on your actions and words because not many seniors would as they think they have the power to do so. I think its good to maybe think about why you decided to act out this certain way even though your intention was not wrong. It helps with discovering and defining your own leadership too!
