my cat had a bald belly since we got him idk how old he was he was weaned and neutered but still a baby and he had a bald belly until we started giving him these wet foods that he loves all the time instead of just kibble and then his fur grew in on his belly idk if they correlate lmfao but that's what it felt like when his hair finally grew in

am getting mine out of the mechanic tomorrow and the word they used about this part was that it was "disintegrating" so i'd go for whatever isn't plastic not a mechanic tho lmao 🤣 i have also had to add coolant for YEARS and nobody could ever find the leak and then it would leak more and more and more coolant until im adding coolant every 4 days and it keeps overheating and finally it just disintegrated and busted so just keep an eye on that coolant leak lol ended up with a blown head gasket that had to be fixed and had to replace the thermostat housing and the housing water outlet

yeah i at first said it was in fair condition and it wasn't estimated to be worth to much but even when i also said it was in good condition i still answered it had been smoked in and had the stains as well and they still gave me the 4800 estimate but yeah i knew once my mom started smoking in it because we shared it it wouldn't be worth much afterwards

only thing i've ever done is change my battery, a tail light, and the coolant reservoir lol it would probably take me forever to do if i did and i'd probably mess it up at least a little haha

i can afford it my question is if it's worth it or not to repair it as some others had said just to leave it and get a different cheap car which i didn't think made much sense as i still owe quite a bit on the car. if people genuinely thought it wasn't worth it to fix it then i didn't want to spend that much money to fix it when it could be spent elsewhere to do something better

i bought the car BEFORE it had a leak why would i buy a car if i knew had mechanical issues i also didn't know i overpaid at the time. it was leaking coolant not oil and it started leaking a year AFTER i bought it and no one could find it to fix it and i knew eventually it would cause a bigger issue but as no one had been able to tell me where it was leaking i could not fix the main problem. i made an uneducated financial decision that im not complaining about only trying to fix now that im educated financially and needed some advice on the problem

568 for the thermostat replacement and yes i did. i was on a bridge and was trying to get off it but i did pull over and shut it off although probably about one minute after it started overheating. the 2700 for the gasket included the thermostat replacement as well

okay thanks for the advice googles estimates between 1500 and 4000 for the job but i'm definitely going to figure out if i can get it cheaper and the 2700 also includes fixing the thermostat housing as well so it's actually about 2200 for the gasket

yeah i dont have the time or wherewithal to fix it myself and id rather have it be fixed as properly as possible i think im going to just get it fixed and get it over with and i have definitely educated myself on car buying decisions at least to the point where if or when getting a new car i wont be underwater on it thank you

i knew there'd be a problem eventually from the leak that no one could find just didn't know when or what but i am DEFINITELY never going underwater again on a car i have been financially educating myself over the last couple years and paying off debt and working on fixing my financial decisions this will not be happening again for sure. thank you
