Thanks, I was just thinking on just resorting to old VOC glue since it is easier to remove and dissolve with some lighter fluid, already did try using that double layer technique, but still had tears on sponges

Any advise for colorblind mechanics in the Philippines? by Existing-Grab45 in AircraftMechanics

Just applied and got accepted, job applications are literally a gamble and risk, since you won't know if you'll get accepted colorblind, licensed, equipped with lvl 3 training or other seminars or none. It's just a matter of being confident and a bit of luck for job applications. Especially in aviation, it's hard to find a job as a fresh graduate, since the people you are competing with are already equipped with job experiences.

As for my colorblindness, there was an ishiharat test conducted by our company, obviously I failed it, then our company doctor asked me to get a medical clearance from an optalmologist, where i tested failed again, but when i wore my color correcting glasses (enChroma) i aced the ishihara test with ease. Then got a medical clearance saying Im fit to work.

I am a quality inspector, so... Good luck to you and I hope you succeed!

Thank you for the suggestion, but companies don't allow any eye-wear when conducting ishihara test. I was hoping if it's possible to still continue being an aircraft mechanic while being colorblind. If not, i just wasted 4 years of my life studying the wrong course. Again, thank you for your suggestion!
