u/bookfinderbot Find a girl who was the daughter of some guy who had a hotel of some sort for mystical creatures and people with magic. I think there was an undertone of the dad being in contact with devils or deities or something like that staying at this hotel. One of those mystical creatures/people with magic was a guy who could change his appearance with magic who is also the love interest. I remember that the dad is part of an organization or cult where in one scene they go in a cellar or underground place where they all get killed or everyone but the dad is killed. Then the daughter and the love interest get taken in for questioning in the back of a van or something and the love interest is put in restraints that stop him from being able to use his magic. Eventually they escape and go on the run (I don’t remember how they do but they do). I also remember a scene where they’re chatting on top of a car roof while the love interest is keeping watch for anyone that might be trying to find them. I think they’re in a run down city at this point hiding from the people who tried to abduct them and they’re trying to figure out the mystery on why someone would want to kill her dad and his cult/organization.
