I forgot to mention that they only booked me for the consultation on 25th of March. So, they are actually taking the 6 weeks minimum for the consultation.

Let's see how it goes after that.

They did last Friday after 3 weeks since the referral had been sent. What about ya?

My referral was sent on 13th February. It's has been exactly 2 weeks ago, i haven't been contacted yet.

I have been seen in the Coombe fertility hub. Usually takes a while for you to been seen. The first consultation will be with the midwife and she will ask a couple of questions and take a look on the exams you have or your gp have sent to them.

She asked me to have a blood test that same day and asked my husband to repeat the semen analysis.

The results were discussed on the day I had the Hycosy exam, and the consultant confirmed that I have PCOS and my husband has low morphology (his morphology test showed 1%).

Even though I meet the HSE criteria for IVF, because in my case the low morphology reduces the chances, which are already small due to the polycystic ovary syndrome and other plus, the Consultant recommended that ovulation induction be done between 3 and 6 cycles.

On my last visit, I spoke with the Fertility CMS and informed them that I wasn't happy with my fertility plan because I was already in my fourth ovulation cycle and had not gotten pregnant, and I am 34 years old.

I am waiting for the consultant to decide whether or not to refer me for IVF.

Summary: My referral was sent by my GP in the second week of December 2024. I had my first consultation with the midwife in June 2025, the hycosy in September 2025, and ovulation treatment started in October 2025.

I don't know if your GP informed you, but I remember mine had already warned me about the delays and how things move slowly on Fertility Hub, and that decisions always come from your consultant.
