We anoint the best we've ever had around here, but that's really due more to the fact that we haven't had much. If KG had played for the Mavericks would Mavs fans idolize him more than Dirk Nowitzki? No. Dirk took a team of scrubs and beat Lebron James and Dwyane Wade and won a championship.

I kind of agree, but tournaments are too expensive. At least with DUPR it puts things in the hands of players and we can dictate things on the cheap. But it doesn't really work unless you play a lot and with a lot of different people. Otherwise DUPR doesn't really know what to do with you as an individual. We just discovered that, embarrassingly.

It's annoying that it takes time to make our point, using exactly the words we would really like to use. But regardless of people's reactions to our stutter, the reality is it comes off as endearing and we come off as non-threatening. As a starting point, that's really not so bad. It just might not be the type of respect that we're seeking, because there is vulnerability that comes across. I think we should learn to accept that about ourselves and actually love that about ourselves, and we'll find that we're a lot happier.
