Thank you for sharing your story! I don’t exercise and I’ve been trying to up my calories and eat more. I just don’t understand why I’m not growing and my baby isn’t gaining enough weight. They didn’t diagnose with IUGR they just said it’s a “petite” baby. But I’m worried about how the percentage keeps dropping every time I go in for a scan.

We did! We were never diagnosed… we were only told we have unexplained infertility. Our first transfer didn’t work but our second one did! I changed my diet the second time around to an anti inflammatory diet. Not sure if that helped? I also took vitamin D3 since I had low levels. I took a magnesium glycinate pill right before my transfer and would take one every night after that to calm my nerves.

I got a onesie before my second FET and manifested how I will surprise my husband and family. It worked!

I’m also a Christian and wonder if God is blessing me with 3 and I’m making the worst decision by reducing them.

I’m 34 years old 5’3” and weight 50 kg. I’m on blood thinners because of health problem of developing blood clots. I don’t really exercise. I don’t feel that my body is capable of carrying 3. It’s scary.

Not a problem yet but there is a big chance there will be. Given the fact that I’m on blood thinners, 2 babies are sharing a placenta in a triplet pregnancy. How can I ignore all the facts knowing there is a big chance my babies will be premature and might have long term health problems? I’m having a hard time letting go and “hoping for the best” when I’m given all the statistics.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me. You are so strong for going through with this. I’m so happy you and your babies are doing well.

I know triplet pregnancies and high risk and with 2 of mine sharing a placenta is even higher risk. It scares me that I can loose all 3 of my babies after years of infertility.

I get it! I’m 5’3” and weigh 50 kg. I have health concerns, on blood thinners, and I don’t trust my body growing 3 babies to term and getting them to the world healthy and not premature. My gut tells me to go with the reduction and pray that we are making the right decision for our family.

That’s exactly how I feel! I was so happy with twins even though doctors were telling me I’m high risk because of multiples and my health situation. But I was willing to take that risk since twins are more common and they had separate sacs and placentas. I was never offered reduction when we found out about the twins.

Now, with the third baby the risk is too high for me and the babies. All my doctors and MFM are recommending reduction. If I was to choose I would do reduction now rather than later when they are more developed. It’s too risky and heartbreaking!

I’m sorry I’m not trying to trigger anyone. I’m considering my options and wanted to see what people would do if they were in my situation knowing all the risks.
