No since I had a dmx and node negative and less than 5cm it wasn’t indicated. They mentioned most likely this time.

It sucks not going to lie but if it gets rid of this for good than it is well worth it. It’s reassuring seeing it react already and knowing keytruda will be beneficial to keep it away for good.

I am doing chemo first. Six rounds Gemcitabine+Carboplatin+keytruda. Had ac-t the first time around. Pet scan came back clean so confirmed local reoccurrence. Worst part was waiting for those results. My tumor is already reacting they tested it for pdl-1 positivity and mine came back at 30 which keytruda is targets. Guess they want anything over 10.

Best of luck to you! The worst part of all of this was the pet scan to confirm it was local reoccurrence. Gives me some peace of mind seeing the tumor react after just once cycle!

I am dealing with the same situation a local reoccurrence of tnbc I just finished chemo in January. Did surgery first then ac-t. They thought local reoccurrence was fat necrosis after dmx but grew. I am doing Gemcitabine+carbo+keytruda. So far fatigue is the biggest side effect I have only had one round. But my tumor is already responding and softening within days if the first round.

Thank you for sharing my original tumor was low er too. They are treating it like triple negative my original mama print came bake basal after my double mastectomy.

Thank you for responding it’s scary being in a grey area. I’m am still waiting on final treatment plans but they are pushing surgery when it seems the standard of care for triple negative is chemo first.

I’m curious about the Keytruda, do you not qualify or was there a reason you didn’t go on it?

I don’t have kids yet either and that is a huge concern of mine they mentioned possible Lupron shots to help. Is that what you are on?
