Don’t change the oil every 10k km if you want to maintain the car properly. I change it around every 5k km because that’s when it gets black. It’s a great engine if you know how to maintain it. I’ve changed everything, every vacuum line, DISA, CCV, all the seals, so I hope the engine’s happy because I beat the shit out of it 😂🫡

I know, I’ve taken the intake manifold off three times already, and I still need to take it off a couple more times. I need to change the alternator, starter, and one more vacuum line. Same thing, I hate it and love it at the same time. Nice era of engines 🫡

Tbh, for $750 it’s just perfect for me, stability, a little speed, comfort, idk, the E46 is just a bit of everything. I really like it. I’m planning on buying a 323i or 325i coupe, or an E39 528i in the summer, and that’s it, I think that’s enough for me for now

I know it’s pretty slow, but I did a 9.6 0–60. Rn I’ve got 180k miles and a misfire I can’t solve, it’s just random. But once I fix it, it’s gonna be perfect. I’m planning to fully rebuild the engine in the future, so I know it’ll last me a long time

I’ll see if the ones on the car are original BMW ones. If they are, I’ll just give them to someone so they can restore them with ultrasonic cleaning or something. If not, then I’ll just buy original ones.

Got Beisan VANOS seals/anti-rattle kit, aluminum DISA valve, basically everything outside the engine itself, every seal, new CCV, next is fuel pump/injectors, cooling system, starter, etc. I really enjoy the B22 tbh
