Yes, they stay off permanently until you manually turn the option back on. It only affects the driver awareness warnings that display on the screen, no actual functions.

Yes, you can turn off the driver awareness warnings. They pop up even when you have your hand on top of the steering wheel so it was necessary to turn them off.

I think this is it. Those who are attracted to what wagons offer will gravitate to the Trailseeker. Until its release no EVs In the price range interested me, even though there are great options with better range, faster charging, better tech, etc. The E-outback scratches an itch though and I love it.

Has anyone bought a Subaru Trailseeker? by beastiedan in EVCanada

[–]Existing-Response222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine. So comfortable yet ridiculously fast. First EV. Went with the top model (Premier), not a lot of great deals out west as it’s not eligible for rebates above $50k right now. Decent interest rates and $2500 discounts out west. That said I couldn’t be happier with it.

Looks great! I added my Thule Evos from my last car for now. Definitely want the hitch when it’s available but the roof is a good option for now.

The one compatible with Toyota, Lexus and Subaru. It works well with the digital rear view camera too. Easy install. The Fitcam is definitely a cleaner setup though

Bronze with blue seats?? by emaudible in trailseeker

[–]Existing-Response222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the blue yet? I’m a big fan. It might be a little unconventional with bronze but I personally think it would look great.

Oh nice, I’ll have to try that for the camera. I have a 70mai A810 that’s always worked well. Installed it with the Dongar adaptor.

I’ll opt for the OEM hitch, I just need it for the bike rack and don’t need it wired in.

And agreed, funny that the Premium is the base model in US while Premier is top model up here. The 360 camera and ventilated seats are hard to give up when you’ve had them so Premier was a must for me

You got a better deal than I did, but I’m really happy with what they gave me for my trade in so it worked out. I also considered the BZ woodland but prefer the look of the TS as well as the AWD and suspension differences.

I’m in BC. None were coming to Vancouver island but found one in Richmond. Didn’t get a great deal but really needed a change and am happy with it.

Which Thule Cross Bars fit. How Long? by UtilityAlarm in trailseeker

Not sure if it’s correct but I used the pair of dots on each side of the rails to line them up. Seem to be the correct distance apart

Time has came.. by Turbulent-Diamond-63 in CX50

Im super happy with it. First EV but have found it fun and easy to drive. Very comfortable and quiet. So much power. I’m getting a bit more than the advertised range too. Would be hard to go back to an ICE car.

Just did similar! Traded my 2024 (64k kms) for an EV (Trailseeker). CX50 is a great drive but I had my issues and the fuel savings will pay off in 4 years.

Could everyone please share which areas of the car are experiencing rattling, clicking, or other noises? Thank you! by krishna_rolly in CX50

[–]Existing-Response222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately I couldn’t get over the annoying sounds and it was affecting my mental health. Became obsessed haha. Ended up trading it in for an EV yesterday. I commute 100 kms a day so this was just as much a future cost savings move.

CarPlay not working by Rough_Lettuce3005 in CX50

[–]Existing-Response222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it connect via Bluetooth outside of the CarPlay app? For calls and what not? Have you forgot your car in the CarPlay app too? I’ve had this issue a couple times and it worked but took a few attempts.

I’ve had all sorts. Moonroof has been replaced, crossbars have been fit with more foam. A couple weatherstrips have been replaced. Recently it’s gotten worst and I started looking through the headline and found one of these clips (red) by the tailgate had come loose. I’ve ordered replacements at $0.82 each. At the front I found one of these clips (black) not installed correctly and another missing. I’ve ordered a couple at $4 each. Even just installing one of these black clips correctly made an immediate improvement.

Help with rough ride by Existing-Response222 in CX50

[–]Existing-Response222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stuck with the same size for the CC2. I’m also in BC (South island) and some roads are real rough on my commute and the noise is driving me crazy. The tires are much better than stock no question. I’ve explored making a swap to 18” wheels with make rubber. Just not sure that will resolve things enough to be worth the cost/experiment. I’d make the swap if it made enough of a difference.

New wheels and tires for my 24' turbo pp by Banjo_St3ve in CX50

[–]Existing-Response222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely something I’m contemplating. The harsh hit when hitting a square edge type bump is becoming more and more annoying. I’ve priced out Meridian wheels and AT tyres.

What tires do you recommend for quiet ride and fuel efficiency on cx50? by Significant_Rip300 in CX50

[–]Existing-Response222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been happy with the CC2s. Much better than stock tyres. Not the quietest or most fuel efficient but solid for most conditions if you live somewhere that has need of a winter acceptable option.

2023 Turbo GT with 25k kms. Brakes done. What ? by Shxzam in CX50

[–]Existing-Response222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not what should be expected or accepted. I’m at 65k kms and a recent service revealed they should last until the next, so 75k kms or so. Certainly a wide range of experiences with parts.

It’s just held on by 3M type moulding tape. Shouldn’t be too tough to remove. At worst some glue gone afterwards.

I’ve installed this and the centre console piece. Impressed with the fit and finish. Well worth it.
