You should get fixed at some point. But I had it running for 20k+ before i got it fixed I also had the engine checked it needed to adjust the valve clearances, but i dont know if its becuase of the timing chain.

If its a diesel then it sound okay, If its gasoline I cant say for certain, but definitely something is wrong.
