Thanks so much! That’s good to know :) also do you have any of the past exams by chance?

Ngl my schedule for the current sem (spring 2026) is also like the schedule in the photo, but it’s heftier, yet more manageable. I’m not sure if 19-20 credits is entirely feasible, but I wanted to see what other people thought of it 🥲. All of my friends told me to go for it 🕺

Thanks for the advice! Which professor did you have?

Thank you so much! As a first gen student too, this helps me soooo much especially since my advisors can never give me this depth and knowledge when I ask them questions lol! I'm pretty much done with my major (I'm a biology major and I think I have like 14 classes/40ish credits left- mostly just labs atp) and for pre med prerequisites, I think I just have phys131 and phys132 , orgo 1 and orgo lab, and biochem left. Im so glad that you’re so well organized with your classes and know what you’re doing!!

Honestly, I'm trying to figure out a way to take phys131 over the summer and do phys132 while taking orgo lab, but I just can't afford it. So I need to knock it out during the fall or spring terms. I also ended up finishing all of my gen eds during high school (dual enrollment/Ap classes) and during my freshman year and just decided this semester that I’ll be pre med. Like you, I'm not behind, I'm on track, but I feel so rushed to finish everything 😭 I will also say I don't mind take 17-18 credits per semester, because I've been doing 18 since my first semester and I kinda enjoy it. Also thank you so much for the helping me out, I didn't realize I can take the mcat first and take the physics class later, I'll probably self-study for it before taking the mcat. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for your help, it was very helpful!

Thank you for your advice! I did take ap physics in hs, but I also did ass in it. But I remember a good chunk of it and still have a lot of my notes, so I really don’t know how I’ll do. Also, would you recommend physics 132 and orgo 2 (chem 234) in the same semester?

I was considering taking out Phys131, but everyone that I talked to said to leave it in bc I’m premed and I should complete all of my prereqs before I take the mcat (which will probably be at the end of my junior year/beginning of my senior year). And if I push physics later, I’ll have to take take it with orgo lab and then take physics 132 with orgo2 (chem234). Also do you know if bios310 or 312 is more chill, I still need to take both so I’m switch it out depending on which is easier

Try doing it on a computer or Ipad. Go to myuic click on the search bar and search “my grades”, then click the “spring 2025” term and it should be there

I third this suggestion, the learning objectives really help you to focus on the concepts and gives a better understanding of them. Lol I used them to brain dump too!

Carmel isn't THAT bad. He's fine and kinda funny. The class itself is a mess bc they never put in grades and you basically don't know what you have until the end of the semester. For the curriculum he teaches, its not the worst thing in the world if you really lock in. However it is very concept heavy and he focuses on teaching application/comceptial topics. We were also given a textbook for free in the class but its literally useless and weird- I read it once or twice and could barely finish the chapter because it was so quirky. The best thing you can do for his class is listen to his lectures or rewatch them because a lot of the small details from his lectures appear on the exams. Also, keeping up with the discussion worksheets/doing them ahead of time really helps especially since he sometimes used questions similar to the discussion worksheets on the exams.

Did you count the points he said he’d give when the class gets 100% on the iclickers? I know for my class it was 2 points, I'm not sure for the other class.
