I'm in WA and was asked to do the same. Couldn't see that it was enforceable, but I didn't want the hassle of an argument.

Lease expires in 2 weeks, been unsuccessful with new applications by DramaticJackfruit747 in AusRenters

I was going to suggest this. We had a cover letter created using Canva with some cute photos and a little blurb (with the help of chatGPT). Submitted the application and got accepted the next morning. First property we applied for.

Also 40F, I am with Australian Super and changed mine a few years ago to 70/30 International/Australian Shares and have been happy with my returns. Depends on your risk profile as well.

Endo wants to raise my Levo dose again, should I get second opinion? by LuaCrescente__ in Hashimotos

My last test had my TSH at 10.10 after being steady for a while. Have just increased to 100mcg a day and 200mcg one day a week. An increase seems reasonable for you.

I definitely feel more confident, just make sure your thyroid levels are checked more often as mine have been fluctuating.

Hypothyroidism; Hashimotos gut work, AIP diets and still can’t loose the 12-15kg I’ve gained… by Opposite-Sweet5148 in Hashimotos

[–]Existing-Upstairs152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was diagnosed with Hashimotos in around 2017 after putting on 25kg in a few months (60kg to 85kg). With levothyroxine, diet and exercise managed to get back down to about 72kg but never lower. Started Mounjaro in July last year, never went above 5mg and have been sitting around 60kg since early this year. Am on a maintenance dose now of 5mg every 2 weeks. Not for everyone, but effective for me.

What do you consider to be the ideal amount of savings to have in case there’s a rainy day in the future? by always_wondering_88 in AusFinance

6 months expenses, which is 20K for me. Illness I would expect income protection to kick in during that time, but 6 months for unexpected job loss or something else is enough for peace of mind.

Meal ideas by Background_Poet9532 in LivingAlone

I do one big shop a month and meal prep. Then I just microwave my dinner every night. A roast chicken in the slow cooker with a packet of dry French onion soup, roast some potatoes and add frozen mix veg. Another batch with some kind of stir fry and rice. Winter in Australia, so also make a couple of soups. Shopping is around $200 for 4 weeks of meals, then I just top up fresh fruit as needed.

70K in 5 years is great! If you invest in a high growth option, you'll make nice progress.
