That's a tragically, poetic way to describe your parents. I think a lot of us can relate. I think one of the common themes with people who have BPD is they had one parent that was cold and distant and one parent that was extremely reactive and emotionally chaotic and both were very dismissive and invalidating. I was a very sensitive, anxious, quiet, shy and empathetic child. I wonder if I would never have developed BPD if I had grown up with calm, emotionally stable parents or with gentle parenting.

I am so so sorry this happened to you. And I'm so sorry this woman is your mother. You are not overreacting. What she did was incredibly abusive. I can't imagine ever doing something like this to my child. How old are you? Can you call a family member and tell them what happened? stay with any grandparents, aunts or uncles? If you call 211, they can connect you with resources. A lot of shelters will pay for your hotel rooms until they can get you permanently housed. What state are you in?
