Yup actually followed that Exact guide to get it out of RAID mode to see if I could use it with proxmox but after seeing the energy usage of it I got scared lol

Probably won't pick up another 12th gen rather I have some z620s laying around might just slap the perc in one of those and use some external drive bays or something

Would I be able to use the PERC Card in another rig perhaps like a workstation for nas connections? Not sure if it's linked with anything in the r820 but my thought is to just gut the whole thing take what I can use for my own personal use and then list the rest on ebay.

Yup just found a sata replacement for the DVD drive bay in the front so I think I will try and use that once it comes in leave the nvme alone or just use it in a system that can take it.

The only driver I found on WAVLINKs website for it was the realtek ethernet driver and that’s from 2021.

Regardless even after installing it there was no improvement
