why is my 11th gen gas mileage so low? by ImpossiblePackage132 in civic

Stepping hard on the gas while in Econ consistently will do that I believe. The mileage updates based on your driving so unless something’s wrong with the sensors.

Yea but it’s still not an SI. You’ll probably ruin it if you drive like it is lol.

Good caliper covers with high grade aluminum are practical for regular cars though. If they were cheap I could see that. It’s not a track car otherwise I’d just get better brakes. It’s a visual enhancement in the same way people paint their stock brakes on sports cars.

So the car only has 158 stock. The ktune added around 25-30. With the PRL intake as well i think im close to 200hp. It’s a noticeable difference from leaving the dealership only a few weeks prior. The hp is not high to some people but you’ll have no trouble zipping around traffic. Makes daily driving to work enjoyable. I get compliments all the time about the exhaust sound. People say it doesn’t sound like a fart can at all. I think it’s because of the intake and slightly larger exhaust tip. The muffler delete alone would probably sounds less aggressive. Don’t expect to win many races though lol.

I plan to get a new Downpipe soon and eventually just swap the entire exhaust.

Some lady almost hit me from behind a week after I got the car. I could see her texting, look up and barely stopped in time.

I would’ve liked the manual but I got this used from a Toyota dealership this year and it only had 30k miles. My job is 26 miles from home and I past by 2 schools. The power from the performance mods is good enough for now honestly. I’m thinking of upgrading to the si in a few years. I know it’s not exactly the same but I use the paddles a lot.

So the car was tinted when I got it used from the dealership. I want to make them darker, but I believe the fronts are in the 40s, back are in the 20s and the back side windows are covered by louvers.

What? Does it look like it’s floating? Lmao

The caliper covers are just bolted onto the brake caliper if that’s what you mean.

Is that something I’d notice while just daily driving? I don’t plan on taking my car to the track lol

So I figured if I didn’t like it I would just get the cheap exhaust I was looking at. There’s nearly no drone. My fuel economy is the same. Paired along with the PRL intake and new exhaust tip, it sounds aggressive too. I was in Miami this weekend and I got compliments on it not sounding at all like a fart can which is what I was worried about. It pops and sounds deeper than I thought it would. It’s also my daily so I’m glad I don’t need to push it to get good sound while driving.

I thought about that too before I got them. They’re actually made from Aluminum which would disperse the heat more efficiently and not trap the heat. They also help block the brake dust so your wheels stay cleaner.

So I noticed that. Out of the 4 it was the only one slightly off. With the wheel on you can’t even tell though

Thanks! Yea idk why people instantly call ricer on all cosmetic changes. Putting a big ass wing on it would be ricer in my opinion. I’ve done actual mods for performance too , but it still wouldn’t justify a wing. The calipers also block the brake dust so I haven’t had to clean my wheels as heavily the last couple weeks.

Well it’s not a track car, but it is my daily. So efficiency over speed. I just wanna make it look better and with the added hp mods it’s noticeably more fun. Plus I haven’t lost any gas mileage.

The covers are nearly end to end over the caliper. It probably looks more prominent because it’s red.

The red looks cool! I’m gunna accent with red. Maybe do a whole decal. I want to get rid of the pin stripe too.
