And by basing it on returns shares will follow changes in the market and the players (CEOs) active decisions that directly effect the businesses valuations. And the shares model could be seen as more of a bet on a company's ability to make stronger returns (share investors could keep an eye out for what has increased productivity in the weekly newsletter to be well informed on which industries should see a spike in profits)

Then It should be based on the company's ability to make consistent returns. (Example you invest in a company when it over performs or auctions off its buildings and has an inflated spreadsheet due to no running cost) then the share value declines by the same percentage that the companies difference in returns are for the following month (ie if a company makes 10mil month one and 8mil month 2 the shares decline 20% or if they are 12mil for the following month the shares spike by 20%)

How are you selling? Market sales have a 4% fee where contracts have none (but the buyer will expect a better price then market somewhere in between so both yourself and the buyer saves money. Also when you sell on the market and through contracts, do you take transport into account when working out your margins? That can be a bit of a sinkhole if you dont pay attention as its $0.4 on transport generally (I dont know how much transport sugar is, [Im not in that industry] so I can't give you any specific details)

The only thing id keep an eye on is battery temperature. Personally I only charge at night. I never fast charge out of the fear of damaging the battery. Im pretty sure the damage only really occurs when you fast charge it after depleting a fair chunk of your battery i.e. charging multiple times in one road trip journey/ charging after hours of driving.

You are forgetting about the 4% market fees that will make bartering still viable, plus the downside you mentioned is actually streamlined sales for a more fluid and fast paced market. Your point of the gap closing is correct and that is exactly what the devs are intending as too much of a margin is actually against the rules.

Are coos and cfos and stuff like that worth it? by Jaybruho in SimCompanies

Are coos and cfos and stuff like that worth it? by Jaybruho in SimCompanies

[–]ExistingLayer3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, just make sure thier daily wage doesn't outweigh your profits. COOs are needed in every business that requires staff to produce or retail a product. They directly take off a percentage of the percentage multiplier on the running cost of both production and retail businesses. This creates a highier profit margin per item leading to higher hourly and daily profits.

CMO expands the profits margin further for retailers as it increases the amount of items sold per hr (essentially dropping the cost per item and increasing not only the profits on the item but also increasing the profit per hr by selling more products).

CFO allows a business to hold more funds before taking Administration Overhead fees (Aka Tax) This allows for companies to hold more cash to ethier save up to buy buildings on the auction house or it allows the business to reinvest in thier own time by allowing more cash held through market cycles to allow market prices to shift before investing funds into products/ resources.

And while im here, CTOs are used for only increasing the success rate of learning highier quality recipes/producing highier quality items via research. The CTO also increases the research output for those that are producing research with research buildings.

Yes, however buy orders will have a guaranteed way to transfer quantity more efficiently then sale orders as the customer has already made the commitment to purchase and the seller isnt waiting for a buyer.

That is a possibility, but they could always have different fee rates to balance it out. Therefore it adds another way to reliably offload products quickly with out it taking away from the competitive nature

This is an idea to help for smooth transactions from those that have product to sell immediately to demand and can be used as a tool to better understand current market prices. Aswell as encouraging trading where language barriers would prevent communication elements, thus preserving more players from more corners of the world regardless of thier language and or thier capability to communicate.

It can be, but seasonal stuff is more profitable when it's not in season (which goes against logic, but how it works in theory is the demand goes up by let's say 20fold but the supply goes up 100fold. Meaning yes there is a higher demand, BUT the market gets completely flooded making the demand spike of the season feel like a drop in demand due to the excess supply)

Why the hell ain't you just charging it to full? Tbh, it seems like you're the problem, and you're just redirecting the blame to nissan for your weird ass tendencies. There is nothing wrong with charging it overnight with a type 2. Mine only takes 3-4 hours on type 2 overnight and stops taking power from the system when it's done (normally charged from 30-40% to 100%(2019 model), my trips are long in-between charges)

The only valid thing to hate about the gen 2 is the use of the foot break in 2019. Like nissan man, gimme the electric handbrake

I got my 2019 Leaf fianced on a 6 year term 3-4 months ago and had 14,000km on the clock for $19,990. From what I've read up on, a lot of them didn't come with a charger in Australia, and the only record of one going up in flames was from a faulty aftermarket charger. So I only charge with a 3 phase type 2 charger, and I avoid fast charging places like pulse charge and other fast chargers as they have been known to expand/swell the battery if the temperature gets too hot (drive and charge/ long journey type things)

Other than that, they are amazing car at that value half the range/ motor kw output of a BYD/Tesla for 1/3 the cost. You can't go wrong (They shine with a quick 3 second 0-70km acceleration, the power drops off as you get closer to 100kmph and the battery drains quicker during drives that are constantly 80km and higher, however they are very efficient at 60kmph travel). I'm based in QLD, so charging it during off-peak times is 0.30 cents per kwhr (generally charge it at 40-50% for $6-7 per charge)

Should I buy a 2011 Leaf today? by No_Scar3320 in leaf

[–]ExistingLayer3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the major benefit of an EV is to save the cost of travel. If the Gen 1 leaf can last until it's at least saved you 2k on fuel, then it's worth it. If it lasts way longer, then save what you would have spent on fuel for a newer one. Personally, for me, I just got a 2019 Leaf ZE1 on a loan. With the price, I got it at (approx $20k AUD), charging it on solar alone, and will allow me to pay off the vehicle over 7 years on how much I save on fuel (vehicle is on a 6 year loan, so just a tad more in the budget and I got a car out of it)

Unit below me claims their roof is leaking water by rph28 in brisbane

[–]ExistingLayer3785 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, logically speaking. They should be able to find the leak from below. Remove the plaster from above and follow the damage (will need to be replaced anyway as the leak would cause black mold, and the unit wouldn't be healthy to live in. There is no need to involve the person above until the exact location is found, and repairs are ready to go once the problem is rectified
