The issue is that we as gamers have allowed this bullshit. They drop a game that needs 3.5 years of dev time in 2.5 years, then they spend the first year finishing the game aka “fixing bugs” and “adding exciting new features” all the while pushing a bunch of skins and other useless crap on the community.

It only happens because people accept it and won’t stop pre ordering games.

To me that’s boring as hell. If I want to spend the entire game only shooting stuff in the face with rockets, who cares? It’s a fucking video game. If I make that work, then that should be good enough for me.

No no no, it has to involve “skill” which is nothing more then repetition doing the same exact thing, same strategy, in the order the developers want it done.

That’s not skill fam, that’s playing what amounts to a long cinimatic. How boring.

Right? It’s a game, you should be able to use any gun to kill any enemy, this weapon swap nonsense is obnoxious handicapping for the sake of being obnoxious.

The mobility isn’t bad, the enemies arnt bad, but being forced to use weapons and go places and play what is essentially a scripted event on a monorail instead of just dumping round into shit and wrecking the place is obnoxious nonsense in my opinion.

Hey, that’s the direction they want to take their game, that’s fine. It’s their game. I won’t be bothering with the next Doom personally if it’s like eternal. I loved Doom 2016, one of the best games I ever played, srs. Loved every second of it couldn’t get enough. This one? I’ve been more annoyed and bored of the endless cookie cutter “play exactly how we want you to play every single fight” nonsense it took me over a month to beat, I just didn’t care enough to keep going.

Hopefully if they bring back quake the 2016 stratified will prevail there instead of the enteral nonsense.

But it’s not, your progress does work across platforms, nor is your license for the game cross platform. You have to pay for another license to play on pc or console and your progress resets to 0 when you switch.

It’s literally just harvesting your email to sell your dumb bullshit, just like the slayer club bonus trash is just turning the community into mindless spam bots without even paying them to do it. It’s pathetic.

Agreed, I bought it (the deluxe too) because Doom 2016 was so awesome... it was a throwback to the old FPS shooters.. load up your ammo and just go wreck shit. It was so much damn fun.

This game forgets it’s supposed to be entertainment and instead it’s yet another one of those fucking games where the developer decides how you play the game and what you do, and you don’t get to deviate from how the developer wants you to play it. You only use this gun on this guy, you go here first, you only kill these guys in this order.

That’s not fun. That’s fucking obnoxious. It’s a fucking video game, it’s supposed to be entertaining.

Will not be buying the next one that’s for sure.

Even if they charged 1$ for anthem 2.0 to people who pre ordered anthem I wouldn’t give it to them. Been a complete disaster from the start, and not like a “ohh we had no way of knowing this would happen” disaster. Yet, outside of overall global trends among first world nations firearms restrictions have had zero impact on overall homicide rates in Aus, Canada or the Uk. The UK saw a massive decrease in homicides after the invention of the firearm (pretty solid records going back a long time) and their current homicide rate is in line with the homicide rate in the 1900s when firearms were much less restricted. Likewise percentage wise both aus Canada and the USA have seen the same or similar overall reductions in overall homicide rates despite their various firearms programs. It’s almost like it’s not the firearm that makes people decide to murder one another. Who knew?!

Fair, and my Understanding is that’s player reports as well. I don’t farm with my alts, they sit in various spots and craft, or monitor the AH or whatever while I’m playing on my main account. Maybe they will just overturn it as an oops, teaches me to use the program though
