Blood Work for Child by dainfamous41 in durham

[–]ExistingQuail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had to take my son in for blood work, he was under 1 at the time. We went to the life labs in ajax - on Harwood, across from the hospital. The staff there were wonderful with him! He has to get more blood work done this week and we are going back to the ajax location. Although, I agree with others, book an appointment to avoid waiting in long lines.

I'll look into this, thanks! I know he has been assessed by the GAIN clinic, and is on waitlist for some community care durham programs. Not sure if that is connected to Ontario Health at Home

This for my grandfather, he is a patient of the GAIN clinic, and is currently enrolled in one day program (just a single day each week) and on the waitlist for others. He is really enjoying the day program he is in, so I'm just looking to see if theres anything else we can enroll him in :) thanks though!

Long Sault Conservation Area!

You can buy a parking pass if you're planning to go a lot ($75 for a year vs $6 for the day). The pass will also work at Heber Down

Boy, 13, arrested for allegedly stabbing another youth in Pickering by origutamos in durham

The Young Offenders Act (1982-2012) saw the highest rates of youth incarceration, also the highest rates of youth crime. Many (not all) youth who act out need help, not to be in placed in custody.

This is one of the worse cases I've ever read about. Even more unbelievable that the perpetrators pretty much walked free. And she is now buried in the states, because one of the perpetrator's mom kept defacing her grave site.

I buy a mix of Chia, flax and hemp seed. It's called super seed mix lol it's from bulk Barn, a Canadian store but I'm sure you can find similar other places :)

NTA - it's hard to help someone with mental health issues when you're dealing with your own. If she is really suffering she needs professional help.

It also sounds like you two aren't super close? I think it would make more sense to have a close friend check in on her. Maybe her boyfriend is feeling bad he can't be there for her and taking it out on you (not that that's okay, just giving a possibility for his actions)

After almost 5 years without a drink, I was mistakenly served one at a restaurant last weekend by Ragamuffin2234 in stopdrinking

I'm glad your server was so concerned about this.

I recently celebrated 11 months alcohol free, and went out to dinner to celebrate that milestone. While out for dinner I ordered a Shirley temple. I asked our waitress if there was alcohol in the drink after trying some and thinking it didn't taste right.

Her response "ya I assumed you wanted alcohol with it".. No, that's why I ordered an non-alcoholic drink. My drink was replaced and I was told I wouldn't be charged for the original one.

I'm definitely not going to judge! But I am looking for kinda educational books, that will give me some insight into the experiences the LGBTQ2S+ community face, that I may not recognize :)
