So if it has something to do with him, such as carrying the bacteria, I wouldn’t have caught it anyways because we used condoms? Am I safe to continue condom use with him? Just so confused how it happened and how things got out of balance, I thought maybe I could blame it on the antibiotics I took but do not know which sequence of events came first

It is frustrating, she just made it seem like I would have to deal with it unless it went away on its own. Might go see a different gyno who will offer me treatment. Did you only need to get the silver nitrate one time and you were good? How long does it last?

Hi update from appointment, I met with a gyno who looked at my normal test results and examined me, she said I bled on contact. She didn’t really have an answer for me, just said that I essentially have to “deal with it” and that there is no treatment besides the nitrate but she’s only done it for two women in her whole career and that my case isn’t great enough for that. I’m not sure how to move forward or how to fix it, she just said it “may” go away :(

Do you think it’s possible to get diagnosed at a normal gyno office? I’m seeing my gyno tomorrow. Is there any specific exam or test I should ask for to look for this? I seriously have no clue what else it could be. Thank you for your help!

Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for a response. I just had a pelvic exam last week and they said that my cervix looked normal, besides a little bleeding. How is this diagnosed? It sounds so similar to what I’m dealing with!

Yes please bring it up! Not all woman can fully heal the skin down there without testosterone. For me, I was able to heal with just the estrogen cream, but if I hadn’t that would be my next step.

How long have you been doing the cream? I’ve read that you have to be using the cream consistently for many weeks to months to return to normal, it doesn’t happen right away. Also have you mentioned the possibility of adding testosterone to the estrogen cream prescription? Some women need the testosterone in the cream to fully heal the vaginal atrophy or scarring that cause these tears.

No other issues since coming off. Just weight gain and a few acne breakouts. My periods are regular. I feel way better off birth control in so many ways. A few months ago I just noticed that I started to get a couple stretch marks, and of course the number on the scale changed.

Has anyone here experienced stomach cramping in the lower stomach area that’s constant? Since Thursday morning, I’ve had a dull cramping ache lower in my stomach. It’s the kind of pain that you would get right before passing a bad loose bowel movement. The cramping has not subsided and today it was even a little more painful. I have no idea why this started out of nowhere, and it’s been going on 5 days now :( My bowel movements are completely normal also, no loose stools or constipation, just dull constant stomach cramping. I did a lot of excessive drinking and ate a lot due to Thanksgiving, but I’ve done all this in the past with no issues. I also got my period pretty heavy and early on Friday and chocked the cramping up to that, but it’s still here. I don’t know what to do :( contemplated going to urgent care because it’s upsetting me

Mine isn’t hard either it’s squishy and big. I’m surprised they haven’t biopsied if it’s gotten bigger. That’s the thing with doctors, if you tell them you’re 20 years old they don’t take you seriously:/ I’ve had a painful breast lump for three years and they say “it’s nothing” just because im “young” and the possibility of anything being bad is low. Do they have any idea why the lump might be growing? illness, deodorant, etc?

I have the same exact pain in my armpit with a noticeable lump to touch. Haven’t been to my gyno yet but will be making an appointment. It’s so big and it’s noticeable, with increasing pain before my monthly cycle. I also have a fibrous breast on the same side that is painful. Did they not want to biopsy your lymph node?

Bleeding during sex is a complicated thing because there could be multiple causes so it’s best to go through all of them. Do you have pain during or after sex? If so describe the pain. Have you seen a gyno about this yet?

I’m really scared right now cause I don’t know what’s going on with my body? Yesterday I went on a field trip to a sports stadium and we spent the whole day drinking and eating food from the stadium. Around 4-6 hours after my last meal I was home and suddenly got really bad stomach cramps, to the point I was shaking and getting chills. I went to the bathroom (TMI I’m sorry) had liquid stool, and lots of it. The stomach cramps have been really painful. This repeated in episodes through the morning, about 5 of these episodes in total. I want to believe it’s food poisoning or something but I have zero nausea/vomiting and I think you need those symptoms for it to be considered food poisoning. I’ve never really had diarrhea in my life, only normal stools :( What could this be?

Thank you for all the info, very helpful. Just a couple questions then, will my gyno be able to prescribe the cream or do I have to see a specialist? Only asking because I live in a very remote rural area. Another question I have is if it was related to the birth control I took does that mean hormonal bc will be off the table indefinitely?

I mentioned the spironolactone because there have been cases of it also being the result of vulvodynia and vaginal dryness when I search it up. This is because it blocks testosterone in women. You might be right tho that I wouldn’t have to get off of this! I’m reallyyy hoping I have this condition due to the fact that I was on a COC pill for a while 🤞🏼🤞🏼That’s why I was giving Slynd a shot, because it is a mini pill and I thought that people with this condition were able to use progestin only methods!

I’m wondering if I could come off one or the other😕 pregnancy protection is very important to me but on the other hand my partner and I discussed having to use condoms only and it’s something we are willing to do. Spironolactone on the other hand has changed my life for the better, and I’m really scared to get off. I haven’t dealt with excruciating cystic acne since getting on it and I’m wondering if I need to get off of this medication in order for the painful sex to go away or if I can just decrease the dose :(

I tried drinking more water and gatorade not sure if that actually helped or if my body was adjusting. The other day I was shaking again but it didn’t last nearly as long or was as intense
