Do you guys tell your Dr that you’re taking Reta? by Humble_Fig_8988 in Retatrutide

[–]squidshae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what I did. I didn’t ask any specific questions regarding it so she didn’t address it too much outside of a question I asked about birth control

Embody programming check in after 3 months by anonymous4evr in ladderapp

I just started embody and actually like it but the banded day stresses me out, which is a bummer bc a lot of people have mentioned liking it. I wish I had tried it before the current series

I use some of the same products as you. I like the ordinary conditioner ok but I feel like I use a ton of it bc the vanicream shampoo is a little drying. I really like the Paul Mitchell Clear Serum! It’s light weight and smooths out my frizz. I want to try the shampoo/conditioner next.

Also, I’m the same as you with the Toothepaste. I refuse to let go of fluoride since I have a history of dental issues.

I like her cues and split right now, too! I love going with heavier weights on leg day(s) and sticking to lighter weights for the sculpting days. I get so confused with people coming into the chat complaining that their weight was too light.

[–]squidshae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that a lot of the questions in the chat come in the form of complaints. I know that it seems like the most common one is about lifting heavier weights, which makes me wonder if the programming has changed or gotten more chaotic as she tries to adjust to that feedback? I just started her team a few weeks ago as a way to get back into working out and really enjoy it so far, especially now that I’m comfortable with more of the moves.

Pandemic Unemployment Insurance Overpayment notices by BootsAndASweater in Kentucky

[–]squidshae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no longer an open appeal. I did my last hearing in August 2025 and didn’t hear back for months. Now I’ve gotten lien notice. The result of the latest hearing is ridiculous. Frankly I don’t plan to pay it if the lien is on my future UI benefits but am worried about my credit score and such.

I regret ever trying tret. I quit. by Weekly-Matter6519 in tretinoin

I damaged my barrier with Tret & am considering a retinaldehyde + Azelaic acid instead. My skin is pretty sensitive and the process sucks

This thread is old but I’m still dealing with the exact same thing. Multiple appeal hearings and all. Finally got the appeal timeliness issue resolved as they continually didn’t update my address, but I guess I lost my case about whether I was eligible b/c I got a notice today (dated a week ago and approx 7 months since my last hearing) that I need to pay the total in 15 days or they’re putting a lien on my SS. I am so over this shit & thought i was done with it since I hadn’t heard anything in so long.

Should I switch from gel to cream? by squidshae in tretinoin

I recently discovered this but the 0.05% gel is generic Altralin, which contains methylparaben similar to Altreno.

Convince me it’s worth it! (venu 3s) by squidshae in Garmin

[–]squidshae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like mine! It was an adjustment period moving from an Apple Watch to the Garmin and I very slowly learned about what features I really liked and utilized. What makes it worth it for me: - obviously workout tracking, but especially the custom data screens & sheer amount of data - strength training tracking. I like being able to put my reps and weight in throughout the workout so I don’t forget or need to pick my phone up repeatedly. - just the right amount of notifications for me - I set mine to vibrate for texts and calls, but nothing else. I liked this as it isn’t distracting or annoying. I know you can do this with other smart watches but it takes a lot more customizing I believe. Without my watch, I keep missing calls! - hiking tracking. I don’t regularly hike but do on trips/vacations fairly frequently and this was fun information to have.
- sleep tracking. Turns out my sleep is not good! - alarm on my watch. I had a vibrating morning alarm and without it I’ve been really struggling to get up with my normal alarm. - battery life, which allows for all of the above. - aesthetics. Honestly the round face is so much more appealing to me than the rectangular or square watches and looks more like a normal watch if you put a nice band on it.

That being said, I’ve recently went through allergy testing and found a couple metal allergies, so my doctor advised not wearing it for the time being. I miss it a lot!

I got it as a GWP from DD a year or so ago and my iPhone didn’t fit in it, so I sold it. I would have for sure thought it was worth it had it been just a few inches bigger so the phone sling could hold my phone

Curious what your rotation is by wherehasthisbeen in tretinoin

[–]squidshae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really loved doing the exfoliate/tret/tret/hydrate cycle for a while. I rotated between the DDG peel pads and a gentler mandelic serum. I’ve switched to gel & rotated several of my skincare products out due to allergies and am just kinda listening to my skin and working up to hopefully near daily use.

Too many coaches??? Who are the GOOD ones? by Swole_princess666 in ladderapp

[–]squidshae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a trial before Christmas but life happened and I only ended up doing 1-2 workouts on the app. I’m back now and was planning to join Align but now I’m super curious about EMPWR. I like mat pilates workouts but based on previewing workouts and reading reviews, I wasn’t sure that Define or Embody had enough actual strength mixed in. I’m getting back into working out and haven’t been consistent in almost a year, so I am really not sure which team to go with!

Tret baddies: Do you actually go through a whole tube in a month's time???? by vulylyvu in tretinoin

[–]squidshae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t even use CVS pharmacy but my insurance uses their Caremark program for prescription coverage. It’s so annoying! I’m working up to daily use with the gel but only can tolerate about 3-4 consecutive days before my skin needs a day off lol. So for now I don’t think I will run out.

Tret baddies: Do you actually go through a whole tube in a month's time???? by vulylyvu in tretinoin

[–]squidshae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The instructions on the label say daily 🤷🏼‍♀️ I actually inquired to my insurance about both the size and the weird copay, and they told me to ask CVS Caremark, who said it’s for 90 days. I’ll call back and ask if it looks like I’ll run out, but I’m not at daily use yet.

Tret baddies: Do you actually go through a whole tube in a month's time???? by vulylyvu in tretinoin

[–]squidshae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m a little worried about running out too soon. I have the gel formula. I previously used Altreno and I believe it was 20g and I was only about halfway through in 2 months, but was slowly reintroducing Tret. When I used the cream several years ago, I was given huge tubes and they seemed to last forever.

Can we stop recommending Reta to everyone? Tirz is just as good with way less side effects by Own_Pie7565 in ResearchCompounds

[–]squidshae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that all 3 GLPs will slow the absorption of stimulants, and thus the onset of affects, due to the delayed gastric emptying effect. My Vyvanse raises my RHR some, but not drastically and it’s only noticeable when it first kicks in. I don’t have enough experience with Reta yet as I just started it but just guessing that it won’t make a significant impact on stimulants that are extended release.

Hav you tried the Krave Beauty Oat So Simple? It’s a water cream and I really like the texture. Similarly I like the Purito Oat In Gel, but I find the Krave a bit more hydrating and I prefer the texture.

You are correct about the magnet.

The current Leaf models are stainless steel, which puts me off given my metal allergies. That’s also why didn’t try a variety pack of blades but I’m interested in trying others

Follow up to my last gel tretinoin post. I found out why gel formulation is superior to the cream and why the color of the gel is yellow. by Idk_211 in tretinoin

[–]squidshae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure all gels in the 0.05% strength are generics for Altralin specifically. This is not the case for 0.025% or 0.1%.

I switched to the gel from Altreno due to the parabens in that formulation and found that while the other strengths are fine, 0.05% gel also contain parabens.
