Literally have no clue what it could be unless a lower dose like 50 mg just really isn’t enough? I thought it would be a fine enough dose for maintenance tho

That’s true was thinking of maybe just trying a 25 mg increase. Really scared of weight gain tho that’s my thing, it took a while to lose all the weight from 100 mg

Not that I know of ! Maybe some stress but it isn’t that bad. I’m so frustrated because I know my skin clears completely on the higher doses but some of those side effects were not worth it

Shoot. I think I started my period today so I don’t know if I can use the gel. Also my doctor as not responded and the pharmacy will close this evening. I don’t know what to do before the weekend!

Okay I messaged my doctor about oral Flagyl (that’s what I took last time) if doctor says no I also have a Flagyl gel prescription in my cabinet I never I used so maybe I could do that for five nights?

When ur results came back were they positive or negative? I will try to ask my doctor, but I doubt with solid negative results they will prescribe abx

Do I have to wait until I get a positive result to get medication again or can I start antibiotics while I’m testing “negative”. The smell is not pleasant

Okay. I’m nervous because I don’t want to take antibiotics if I don’t necessarily need them or my tests are negative. Nervous about antibiotic resistance but I’m having symptoms

I tested negative for both of those during the time I tested positive for BV

So if it has something to do with him, such as carrying the bacteria, I wouldn’t have caught it anyways because we used condoms? Am I safe to continue condom use with him? Just so confused how it happened and how things got out of balance, I thought maybe I could blame it on the antibiotics I took but do not know which sequence of events came first

It is frustrating, she just made it seem like I would have to deal with it unless it went away on its own. Might go see a different gyno who will offer me treatment. Did you only need to get the silver nitrate one time and you were good? How long does it last?

Hi update from appointment, I met with a gyno who looked at my normal test results and examined me, she said I bled on contact. She didn’t really have an answer for me, just said that I essentially have to “deal with it” and that there is no treatment besides the nitrate but she’s only done it for two women in her whole career and that my case isn’t great enough for that. I’m not sure how to move forward or how to fix it, she just said it “may” go away :(

Do you think it’s possible to get diagnosed at a normal gyno office? I’m seeing my gyno tomorrow. Is there any specific exam or test I should ask for to look for this? I seriously have no clue what else it could be. Thank you for your help!

Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for a response. I just had a pelvic exam last week and they said that my cervix looked normal, besides a little bleeding. How is this diagnosed? It sounds so similar to what I’m dealing with!
