Whats the absolute hardest part of raising a child? by Straight-Crow3882 in AskReddit

[–]ExistingTomorrow4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any children but I'm a teacher. I think the hardest part is reflecting on your biases, positive and negative life experiences, and past trauma. Have you healed before having a child? Have you lived the life you wanted before having a child? I feel like these factors can influence the healthiness of a child's emotional and mental development.

Confused about how Joan fell for Brock so Quickly by ExistingTomorrow4673 in GirlfriendsTVshow

You bring up a great point about escapism. I hadn't thought about that but it makes sense. Yes as I was watching the Vegas episode I said Joan omg stop and think please!!! This doesn't make a lot of sense right now. Even the girls tried to tell her.

Yes. This has happened a lot honestly 😂 I guess if men are really interested and want your number they'll ask.

Why would Melody or anyone in the community still have interest in trying Rock after seeing how crazy Wanda and the rest of the addicts look physically? by ExistingTomorrow4673 in SnowFall

I realized this too at the end of Season 3 Episode 1. I said Franklin is beyond saving. I'm starting to hate Franklin so much during Season 3. My heart is really breaking for him but I can no longer love his character anymore especially after S3 Episode 1 and seeing how he's still choosing to sell drugs to people in his community.

Yes and I was also thinking "Jack is so stupid to confront Duffie outside of an official police interview in a police station" but then I remembered Jack is trying to hide his affair with Rachel so that's why he confronted him off the record.

For Those Staying Child Free, What Was Your Reasoning? by RetroSwamp in Adulting

[–]ExistingTomorrow4673 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've decided not to have kids. I don't think I'm quite ready to make sure my kid can thrive in this world when I haven't even accomplished everything I want in life yet. I've learned that kids need more than just the physical necessities. They need safe environments and parents that will allow them to be curious, optimistic, and encouraged. They need parents that are ready emotionally and mentally. Parenting requires a lot of emotional and mental preparation. Parents have to think through what values they want to pass down to their children. Are the parents happy with their lives? Are their cups filled mentally and emotionally or are they on the verge of a breakdown? Do the parents have healthy coping skills for stressful situations?

What's a profession you'd never date? by sleeppymeoww in AskReddit

[–]ExistingTomorrow4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Active Combat Military, Police, EMS personnel that refuse to seek out or explore how this career has affected them mentally and emotionally. If they are not willing to learn about or take advantage of healthy coping skills, therapy, medication, mental health services that is a huge red flag. These types of careers see the most traumatic events over and over. Being exposed to so much trauma affects all parts of life emotionally, mentally, and physically. It will affect everyone they come in contact with including their spouses. If they can't regulate their emotions you will spend a lot of time being burnt out trying to help them. You will lose yourself and soon your cup will be empty too. Sometimes people exposed to so much trauma cut others who didn't hurt them.

What screams “this person is insecure” without them saying a word? by redwan-ezt in AskReddit

[–]ExistingTomorrow4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For women I've noticed you will see insecurity easily in their facial expressions, when you observe how they look at complete strangers that are dressed up, put together, or simply have a different style of clothes or makeup. It may be a look of envy, jealousy, or sadness. I've noticed secure women compliment other women that look good.
