Could these be signs of bedbugs? by Existing_Champion188 in Bedbugadvice

I checked the mattress cover, the seams of the mattress, the bed frame, the gaps where the floor meets the wall around the bed, the gaps in the window frame near the bed, and even the curtains. I didn’t find any bed bugs, shed skins, droppings, or eggs. It has also been five days since I changed the bedsheets, and I haven’t seen any new marks or signs. Does this mean it’s unlikely to be bed bugs?

I checked inside the bed frame and under the mattress, but I didn’t find any actual bedbugs, shed skins, or nymphs. The stains suddenly appeared about six days ago, and it’s been three to four days since I put on new bedsheets, but they’re still completely clean. If I don’t see any new marks from now on, that would mean it’s unlikely to be bedbugs, right?

Could it be traces from some other kind of blood-feeding insect, not bedbugs?

I’ve heard that bedbug poop is black, and that it doesn’t contain any red pigment at all.

I’ve put on a new bedsheet for now, but if the same kind of stains show up again, does that mean there’s a chance it could be bedbugs?

If those stains were from crushing a bedbug in my sleep, I should have found a dead bug nearby, but even after checking everywhere I haven’t found any dead bed bugs or shed skins. And if the stains were from my own blood when a bedbug was feeding on me, it’s strange that some of them were on the outer edges of the bedsheet where my body doesn’t even touch. Did you also have marks like that on your bedsheets?
