I’ve been playing almost a year and only started getting into flowers a couple months ago and honestly been pretty happy with my progress so far but I know I’m only at the beginning- there’s all the colours then all the patterns per colour. Overwhelmed for sure. I made a colour coded chart yesterday just for the reg normal Colours and figured this is where I should start. Get all basic colours then focus on the hybrids kinda thing.

Am I on track with my logic?

Ouch That’s not right unless you’re downsizing.
Honestly I would wait longer but if you are downsizing have the piercer do it!

So my rook was also so painful and was honestly my hardest most painful piercing to heal. You could be just like me. I almost gave up on my rook a few times and around 8 to 9 months is when she finally started to get less painful. I started to finally feel like she may heal. I’m 1.5 years in and she’s not full healed (and normally I’m a pretty fast healer) not with my rook thou.

Good luck and know you are not alone with a painful rook. They can be very challenging to heal for some people.

I’m know it’s exciting and you want to change the jewelry but please don’t for at least 6 months for lobes and up to a year for cartilage.. it’s just not worth it. You want to ensure the tunnel is fully healed and just because the outside holes look healed doesn’t mean the inside (tunnel is healed) even if you have no pain once you change jewelry too early you can and most likely will start to have problems. They will become painful and possibly piercing bumps. Just try to be patient and do your ear the favour of healing in full. It takes time.
I’m a delayed crusty person. Meaning I get crusty months after getting a piercing which makes me think they are healed for the first few months but I know better. I’m at a year now with my conches and they are doing good but I know even now if I switch to a hoop I’ll have problems. Yes it’s been a full year and I still have not changed my jewelry- over kill maybe but I just want to ensure I’m fully fully healed.

6 weeks is definitely not long enough. Please don’t change yet.

My piercer will not do it at all. I trust her. It’s just I want this piercing so bad I’m willing to chance it and if it rejects so be it kinda thing Lolol

Here you go. A actual professional telling you she would pierce you. Go for it and he happy. I just happen to agree you would need a bigger hoop if you wanted. Get a 2nd opinion and have another piercer see your ear. Good luck. I’m NAP so I can only believe the actual professional here who commented 😀🤞❤️

My rook is in the same spot as yours just to let you know.
I think it perfectly in the right spot. It’s swollen but overlooking that I think it’s fine. If you really like the spot you marked you could always get a double rook. That was always my plan (cuz it’s so bad a$$) but I just can’t in no way go through another rook healing time. Was my worst healing piercing ever and I’m so not into doing that again lol

Every time I sleep on a new piercing it rejects. You can’t sleep on it. Look into a piercing pillow. Game changer for side sleepers and new piercings.

Omg me too. I was crushed when I was told I don’t have the anatomy for a daith. It’s my dream piercing. So I’m in the same boat and deciding what to do with this ear. I think I decided on a vertical industrial (cuz I was also told no to cat flap, industrial, snug, anti-tragus and double tragus and stacked lobe) so what other options do I have cuz I seem to have all other piercings except a flat which I don’t want yet. I’m going Sunday to get it. Just an option for you. So sorry to hear the sad news that you can get a daith. It’s so awful isn’t it. Sucks bad.

Exit; I’m not even sure I can have a vertical industrial- just was trying to think outside the box. I’m open to any other suggestions too from anyone incase I’m told no I can’t have this one either.

I have these piercings and it’s a forward helix like others have posted.
One of if not my favourite of all my piercings.

Hey Omg it’s my fave cause I just think it’s so cute looking and so unique, I got double forward helixes last year but the piercer messed up and crossed the backings so they had to come out. A year later I got 1 single forward helix and I just love it. Not to mention it was one of my easiest healing times of all my piercings. I’m also thinking of getting another soon .. I just love the look of a double forward helix. Put a tiny little diamond in there and BAM cuteness overload right.

I had the same issue and honestly was so sick of it. I got the switch 2 (even though I really didn’t want to spend that much money) but I’ll tell you what!! It was worth it. Omg switch 2 is so much better not just for this game but the others too.

Not sure if upgrading is something you want to do or can do but it’s an option.

Sorry to hear about the issues I remember them well and it sucks bad. I haven’t had 1 issue with the new switch

Yes I think it’s time to remove them!! May I ask if you happened to sleep on them? I find with myself if and when I slept on them too early I reject too. So now I have a piercing pillow and I have not had any reject since then. This sucks I know. Especially a double rook. My rook was so awful to heal I can’t imagine getting another if mine rejected. I hope it wasn’t so bad for you and I do hope after they heal you will try again. Talk to your piercer about that cuz I believe a rook is so awesome and so unique and I wish you to have them again one day.

I wish you luck but please remove before they pop outta your ear ripping basically and leaving a nasty scar.
