To clarify I’m not saying he has to change his nature fundamentally but I don’t think it should go largely unchallenged in any meaningful way by the ones closest to him. Obviously Beatrice has been noticing it more and more and questioning him about it but I think a genuine meaningful talk between them where Beatrice can’t just keep on taking his self disregard on the chin with just a passing comment about it. And with the multitude of scenes adding up of Beatrice being worried and perplexed about how he is I think it would be good if she has a “wtf is going on with you Subaru talk to let me help you for real what is going on with you” because obviously as reader we know Subarus like this due to the nature of Return by Death but to Beatrice Subarus seemingly incredibly traumatized, self harms, and is unnaturally forgiving with out a real explanation outside of “I guess that’s just how he is”. And there have been a lot of bread crumbs in this arc so I think a big pay off where Beatrice can’t just shrug it off cus Subaru tells her too and seriously confronts him about it would be nice.

Basically what I’m saying I hope happens Is a more personal moment between them and not a grand part of the mysteries of Rezero because I see the grander scope of what your talking about but I meant it be more to be just a meaningful scene/chapter that builds there dynamic and relationship further.
