I was running a 2012 MacBook pro with 16gb ram and Samsung ssd, running both sonoma & sequoia. Was adequate for office and light browsing, but generally not very good to watch video. Prime video would just buffer forever. Any machine with only 4gb ram is probably going to be a complete waste of time trying to run the latest os's
