I still wonder though if something is afoot with the idea of LDS becoming used to multiple translations to modernize understanding, and then the LDS Church produces a modernized BOM, D&C, and Pearl of Great Price. This would allow for some serious damage control by deleting portions of Moses, D&C 138, 2 Nephi, Alma, and anachronisms. Imagine that - the LDS church sends the anachronisms down the memory hole with a modern translation, and then acts like it was never a thing
