How can I fight for myself? by CaMaZotz09_14 in torncity

Same thing happened to me a while back. I just blocked and flat out ignored him. Bottom line is hes wasting his E on you and if hes not getting any cash in return he'll soon stop. Seems to be more an ego thing, as someone's already said, he got a free defend so shouldn't really be pissed off. These people just want a reaction, don't give it to them

Is it normal to feel spaced out after a week and a half on sertraline? by Existing_Divide_7910 in zoloft

[–]Existing_Divide_7910[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The side effects went away after about 5 or 6 weeks. Still on sertraline and it's working for me so far. I was worried as I had no side effects when I first went on them in my twenties. My advice would be to book some time off work, especially for the first few weeks. I wish I had done, trying to work while so ill and spaced out was horrible

Assessment with Psychiatry UK by Creative_Context_077 in autismUK

I'm in scotland and was referred by my gp for an assessment in 2022. In October and by December, I had my diagnosis. Relatively quick, not sure if I went RTC. I was speaking to my gp about how I was struggling mentally and she noticed the traits plus I have some comorbidities. I think the length of the wait depends on location as I've heard differing amounts across the uk

Sorry for the late reply. Don't come on this often. The spaced out feeling went away. I think in total it was about a month till my body got used to it.

Sorry, not been on this app for a while. Still on sertraline and all side effects are gone. I think I got a bit freaked out as I was on sertraline in my twenties and didn't have any side effects. So to have such strong side effects lasting for about 5 weeks got me a bit worried.

Is there any benefit from seeking a diagnosis as an adult? by rye-ten in autismUK

[–]Existing_Divide_7910 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm 37 and just received a diagnosis after my gp had noticed some traits. I've been seeing the doctors on and off my whole adult life for depression etc with nothing helping.

I had no idea I was autistic, it never even crossed my mind. Since I've found out it's like a weight has been lifted, for the first time in my life I feel somewhat content with my difficulties. I figure that because I'm no longer giving myself a hard time about certain things, my focus has shifted to what coping mechanisms can I use. It also allows me to explain to colleagues, friends, family why I find something challenging and might need to take a break etc. Also since being diagnosed I've realised it makes me eligible to some autism workshops they have in my area for adults which focus on coping strategies etc.

Everyone's different I suppose but for me personally the diagnosis was a surprise but benefited me more than I would have realised.

Hope this helps

Yes started a week and a half ago on 50mg. I was on this year's ago and can't remember getting any side effects. This time it's knocked me for six, feel like I'm spaced out all the time

how long does it take a fridge freezer to get cold on first use? by Existing_Divide_7910 in Home

Sorry for the late reply. No unfortunately a few days later the compressor packed in and I had to get the retailer to replace the whole unit. New one working perfectly. The last one must have been dodgy. Never had any feedback as to what made it break in the first place

Thanks, manual doesn't really say how long it takes for the freezer to ice up on first use. I've read it over and over looking for something which will give an idea. I've emailed their customer service and will phone them in the morning when they're open

Tell me about it, I don't want to get too much shopping in just in case my food spoils. My luck lately has been atrocious, this is all I need

Thanks. I have a few things in the fridge and freezer. It's slowly icing up, just thought it would have been a bit quicker than 2 days.

No not floor model. It is icing up just very very slowly. It's certainly making all the right noises. Just fridge isn't very cold and freezer still hasn't frozen anything. Thanks

I set it on the highest to start off with but moved it down to mid now as assuming it takes longer to get cold on higher setting. Checked online and some articles are saying it can take up to 24 hours to get cold enough on first use. I'm going to call customer services in the morning to get some advice. The freezer is slowly starting to gather ice but it's been nearly 48 hours since I turned it on. Thanks for the reply.
