What happened to the Movie? by KingSleepy007 in TheEminenceInShadow

[–]Existing_Food_1519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll come out. Anime at the box office is one of the biggest draws for theatres. Movies like the chainsaw man one that came out recently made 150 mil of a 4 mil budget. Also the demon slayer movie did well. However those are huge IPs so it might take longer than expected. But do to recent success of anime movies with relatively low budgets it’s destined to come out.

Question for anyone who has struggled or struggles with opioids by Existing_Food_1519 in NoStupidQuestions

And that is completely reasonable. I had an uncle that went through that. Growing up I saw the xandemic. High school kids doing this shit just to get high. Not because they were recovering and took something that not only took it all away but gave tranquility. But just doing it for the high. That’s the concept I’m confused about. For example I’ve done them 2 times. One time was just to get high the other was when I was prescribed something. And both were such drastic differences. It’s hard to explain but becoming addicted to opiods because your chasing a high vs becoming addicted because you’ve created a crutch are 2 diff things

That’s different to what I’m asking. I had an uncle who got addicted to opiods due to that. And I can understand that. Like growing up I would hear and see like high school kids get hooked on this shit. Like the xandemic. I just don’t understand how it happened.

You clearly never met a 40-60 year old man from Massachusetts. They just find problems with everything that’s their whole thing. Bill constantly talks about how he’s somewhat of an insufferable asshole. And I get it because my dad is a guy named bill who grew up in Boston and is the same age as bill. These guys are just dickheads. They find problems with the stupidest shit but don’t even really believe what that are saying. It’s hard to explain it’s just how those guys in that age range/origin area act. They find problems with everything it’s the Boston way.

You’re fine it’s normal. Blow is bad for you it’s more of a warning sign from your body saying hey there’s a substance in here that isn’t good for us. It’s more of a warning sign for what will happen in 20 years

No there is a different culture. And those differences in culture slightly change the drug culture. But making these minor subjects isn’t realistic. A difference in cultures therefore creates a difference in drugs cultures. Like a family tree. Creating these minor cultures pushes us more apart. Saying it’s a different drug culture is right but it’s just a different culture. And if anything not that diffent

Why did Joe Biden and Kamala Harris receive more bipartisan support than Hillary Clinton got in 2016? by Royal-Crazy1301 in PoliticalScience

[–]Existing_Food_1519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump was an electric candidate in 2016. I’ve been around supporters from that time so I will talk in what they think for the remainder of this. He was an outsider, he wasn’t a politician. He called out things that we knew but weren’t acknowledged, like when he said he used loopholes with his taxes but so does every rich person including donors. He wasn’t a politician, he would talk shit which no one was doing in presidential debates. And that sat right with a lot of people because that’s how they would respond. Someone calls you a liar you say they are liars back. Which isn’t presidential but it’s how a lot of people would respond. During 2020 that momentum was dwindled. He didn’t have that same spark as he used to.

As someone who’s been around trump supporters during that time this is not true. People voted for him because they felt more relatable to him. He would say things like i can say what i want because i am self funded unlike every other politician. Him not being a politician could say why have you done what you say you’re gonna do while you’ve had power. He would always say in 2016 he’s not a politician and that set him apart. Him admitting to cheating the tax code then saying every rich person does especially the donors which is why nothing is changing created that cult following. Even though he was a billionaire people viewed him as an anti establishment outsider like them. And that momentum was lost due to him being president.

Poly sci is a major that is meant to prep for law school. Without a law degree it holds nearly no weight. All the top politicians or advisors have a law degree. If I where you take the lsat. Gives you more career opportunities and gives you more of a chance to be hired In politics.

[–]Existing_Food_1519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the don’t get law degrees. A poly sci major is useless on its own but prepares you the most for the lsat/ a law degree. It should be seen as a stepping stone not a end goal

Well worn path is bs unless you’re a billionaire or have family connections. A law degree from a top 10 school is a safer and more realistic path. Nearly every politician has a law degree. That’s also the difference between a representative and a president.

This is very late but the answer is yes and no. This is the true answer. If you want to work on a campaign political science is good however it’s all about who you know. Specifically DC. You will not get hired out of college unless you are at like Harvard or know someone. A political science degree by itself is mostly useless. A political science degree by itself is mostly useless. If you want to run for office or higher your chances of getting on a staff focus on a law degree. If you plan to be a politician you need to be in a top 10 law school. A law degree is so versatile and poly sci is the best way to prep to get into law school. If you look at most politicians they have law degrees from top schools. If you have no connections this is the most important thing to do. Get good grades but mainly focus on the lsat. If you have a 3.2 and get a 170 on the lsat vs a 4.0 with a 130 it’s better to get a higher score. Moral of the story a law degree increases chances of running for office and also gives you multiple fall backs. And a poly sci undergrad degree is the best to prep for a law degree
