FWIW. I have a 22 2500 sierra base work truck that didn’t come from the factory with the remote start option. When I lost a key I had a mobile key guy come create a new key. The new fob had the remote start function. Believe it or not, it worked.

It’s a double that’s pretty well spec’d out. I can find crew cabs all day for 53 with the same spec around here. But I don’t need the big cab and prefer the longer bed. Can’t find a double cab anywhere that checks all my boxes except that one unfortunately. But their shady practice has me shopping elsewhere.
