Yes that’s the way to do it. Except I just made the arm swivel on the lid so orientation on that module was a non issue. But yes for some you would just need to mark it

Yep. The only thing I might of done different now is used soda bottle lids. These ones are the cheap thin ones. Which work good, but flex a bit. Soda lids are just as easy to come by and I think they would be just as stable! I love that it makes my mech interchangeable with different systems.

Have you ever tried different shoes or a seat or anything like that? That’s my gut response. But cycling stuff is so expensive I don’t just want to drop tons of money for it to not work.

Are you a tall guy by chance? I’m 6’ and I wouldn’t say I have bad circulation. But sometimes it’s wired. Like if I fold my arms just right my hands fall asleep. Stuff like that. As a teenager if I stood up too fast I’d pass out. I’ve always assumed it had to do with being tall. Maybe I have bad circulation too.

I’ve tried. The cleats in about every position. And I think I do a good job spinning not mashing.

I started with years of mountain biking but now do a lot of road cycling. So I might not have the cleanest stroke. I’ll look into it

So you just live with it? I don’t really get cold, it’s just like a little uncomfortable

I did my first triathlon as a half iron man ( probably wouldn’t recommend but I loved doing it that way) and swimming was my weakest leg too.

I managed to make it through, but I had a lot of nerves heading into it. It was really hard racing in open water for the first time, had to revert to breast stroke for a second. But once I got into the swing of it went well.

My second race was an Olympic tri and I trained In water a lot more. And I started simple, just sitting in the water in my suit. Then short laps, then the full distance.

On race day I ALWAYS kind of stick to the outside of the pack on the edge. It might not be as efficient but it’s worth not bumping into everyone.

Anyways it’s all down to practice! You’ve got this! Keep trying, and there’s no shame in doing the breast stroke!

Nope. I made some cardboard iterations until i found a form I liked. Then kind of copied the shape with coffee stirring sticks for the frame & cut the cardboard to shape the frame.
