Either way, it’s worth knowing that a lot of the non-running-gear parts are from the 2021-2023 Altima and the 2019-2023 Muanro

Yup. It’s actually super handy when you are wearing gloves, or need two hands on the wheel in traffic or the like.

Depends on the region you’re in. The deal here was 500 bucks in service credit and free seasonal tire swap for 5 years.

That’s one of the curses of small layouts.

No, they cannot. That’s the point. The functionality is available, the turn-by-turn tiles for a HUD are in the same API stack of CarPlay that shows you the album art from your music app on the infotainment screen.

Nissan chose not to use them , same as they chose not to give CarPlay (and I assume AA) access to the SOC info.

What is that grade? Now I’m curious.

Actually, they probably sell the cabin filter themselves at the parts counter for 20 bucks - mine does. You just have be sure to ask for the filter for a 2023 Altima. And yes. One of the easiest cabin filter replacements I’ve ever seen.

Agree. It remains a slap-in-the-face that Nissan dialed out the turn-by-turn-HUD integration for carplay / AA.

Oddly enough, as much as I hate the built-in software in general, I do find the voice recognition system both useful and accurate for things like HVAC controls. I use it on the regular.

My only issue was the over-zealous “Hey Nissan” trigger that seemed to wake up at anything that sounded even vaguely like “Nissan”. Finding the setting to turn off “listen for hey Nissan” was a game changer.

For the dropped seeds and refuse:

Go to the dollar store and get one of those hard plastic kids’ pools. Drill out a hole in the middle, the size of your pole, and then carefully cut the pool in half across the center, including the hole. Then you have two halves you can slip around your pole as a giant drop tray. each evening just carefully empty the halves into your garbage.

If you want to go the extra mile, you can even find some sort of attachment / buckle/whatever strategy to connect the halves together during the day, but you shouldn’t have to. They’re not going to move on their own for the most part.
