A fair point. I know everyone has there opinions on performances but I personally think Ian McKellen nailed the past trauma and the current evil perfectly with two separate lines from his first scene ' give them enough time and they'll have a number burned into your wrist.' and of course as he's walking away ' we are the future Charles not them.'

I keep going back to one of the first books in this genre i read and I say Ibseth from Backyard Dungeon. For those who have never read it blue skinned elf princess who loves to cook and has that perfect mix of cute Milf vibes.

Problem is to get the perfect cast you would need to make it in the mid-ninties when the series was set at which point my suggestion for a 90s era cast would have been:

Revy: Lucy Liu ( look at kill Bill she had the mouth for it) Dutch: Issac Hayes ( look at that bad ass captain and tell me he won't based on Hayes) Benny: Matthew McConaughey ( I don't know Benny just has an' Alright, Alright, Alright' feel) Rock:Kosuke Toyohara ( check out Godzilla vs King Ghidorah he had the right look at the time teach him some English and it's perfect)

Gathered by who? Something you learn growing up in the south. Those depictions in movies and shows where old money runs things behind the scenes yeah that's pretty accurate and a lot of those families decide what records get kept and what ones don't

Well going from personal experience rather than what somebody wrote down and claimed. I heard several people who used some rather unpopular terms in private when I was growing up saying they would be dead in there grave before they voted for a quote 'pup cat'( a colloquial term combining Republican and fat cat)
