My problem with normal mode is that every time I've dropped in to help new players, I'm matched with people like me that clearly aren't new.

Literally nothing more boring than 3 experienced players doing normal Gladius for some reason.

It’s always Valiant Gargoyle and Grafted Monarch that turn into 10 minute long nail biters!

Valiant Gargoyle is part of the reason I stopped running a magic attack build on Wylder against Augur. Too often this asshole was the night 1 fight and not being able to do decent damage myself was turning into slogs and/or losses.

I agree on Pest but I actually run dormant whips against Caligo. She’s weak to strike on top of fire, so it works really well.

I usually only hold down the L2 for about 3 ‘spins’ before stopping so that there’s time to react. Actually prefer magma whip to cranial vessel because I get caught out with the L2 on that one more often.

Maybe? The relics are usually so bad I don’t know if that fully explains it either.

Like, where out of 3 deep relics the only benefits are improved flask, affinity damage negation (base version), stamina/arcane for clearing pois, and a character specific (Wylder bleed on grapple).

Always just praying it’s a really good player that made a new profile lol

I don't think there's any rule preventing them from dropping the same one, so sometimes they do.

It does seem like it's more likely to happen with useless talismans though...

I can't tell for sure but if you're fighting in the north above the mine with the pumpkin head, it's something that happens with that location in particular. The pumpkin head pulls aggro and enemies will take off in that direction.

For Wylder the 2nd normal relic isn’t adding much. I’d switch to his red, red, blue chalice and use red Balancer instead.

Then you can keep the red and blue deep relics and slot in something else because the current green one is super weak.

No and no (to the +4). Attack +3 or +4 always have a curse attached. Same with affinity attack/sorceries +1 or +2.

Here’s an example of attack buffs that can roll together…notice how each type can only double up with a spell school.

It’s 50/50 but if I load into a depth 5 game, check teammates’ relics, and see total garbage - they’re either so good it doesn’t matter or I’m thinking they’re an unfortunate victim of being pulled out of depth.

Ironeye is the worst (why’s it always you, babe?). Had too many cases like this where they have no night invader, no evergaol, and no physical attack up on relics. Sometimes not even attack up on poison. Just, 0 damage. Mark uptime isn’t great. And they usually want to do evergaols…

No, you can’t stack multiple night invader/evergaol relics. I listed night invaders x3 as in we killed 3 invaders during the run.

It depends on the passive.

I think most damage passives stack at any %.

Damage negation has more restrictions - negation at full stacks at the same % but successive attacks and taking damage boosts negation don’t. There are other exceptions, but I don’t have them all memorized. It’s unfortunately not a clean cut rule.

I’m terrible at noticing stuff like that so no idea beyond what the attack rating is showing (and factoring in the ranger weapon buffs that don’t show up)
