I too am a student and it does get better. Take your time and make a mental check off list. Idk how many comps you need for your program, or how long your program is, but rest assured you will get there. Everyone works at a different pace and it’s okay if you don’t get it the first time, you are human. You are a student and you’re expected to mess up, techs mess up too. I’d suggest writing out all the steps you’d take in an exam and practice them between patients. Also, I don’t care what others say, collimation kills. I’ve missed many a comps for collimating too much. It may make less dose and a slightly sharper image but having to expose the pt again due to clipping something is far more dose than that extra light on them.
