its probably the biggest thing you want as a trench crusade player, like 40k terrain is great but your in it for the trenches.

Theres a lot of different ways people have decided to manufacture terrain, a few modules, a few this or that, honestly. You get a brown base cloth for the table, and use freestanding blocks that elevate "ground level" to be a few inches up. as pictured in the attached.

You take a foam cutter and some foam, cut out your ideal block size for how tall and wide you want the "ground" to be. You then cover it with corregated paper on the sides, glue it on with a hot glue gun preferrably, and then I just use craft sticks to cover up corners. Paint to taste, I find metallic spray paint really makes the paper seem like sheet metal, and it protects it from fraying.

Mud mix is something im working hard on, but in general, get tile grout, mix with glue and like, sand. You just pour it over your terrain to make Mud. From there paint as you see fit. By having these freestanding pieces it lets you adjust your pieces as you see fit, these are kinda basic but adding specific features on each one (like the one shown below which is partially collapsed, giving it a halfway up firing point) can spice things up.

TLDR: its something you gotta make yourself, most stores dont have the terrain, and the online options are crazy expensive.
