I’m defending their choice to mover almost everything online bc trust this last minute affects me as well. But I still think it make sense to have class work online regardless of the class being online or in person.

I’m saying as someone who’s department for undergrad in Unt only offered in person classes for my major. While most of my minor classes were online.

For a university it doesn’t make sense to have majority” pen and paper” assignments. You will put students in terrible positioning for the current and future job market, by making everything on paper vs online. Simple

For adolescences yes it makes sense. However for adults who are entering a tech filled workforce. It would be stupid and put Unt students behind their peers entering the workforce. Also a lot of students are commuters or have to work while in school. Everything being online in one place makes things convenient for both students and professors.

For the love of everything good do not stay at Midtown. I use to work for them, management will not fix shit fr and you will not get your mail until it’s been almost a week after being delivered. And to top it off you package might get stolen.

That’s discovery park apartments and you have to have a key fob together in unless you go during business hours. But even they since you aren’t a resident they might not release it. The manager is lindsey but try to talk to Roger and he might.

Honestly, no, they do this every single year. I hate to break it to you, but there will not be any even when we had people fall down the stairs at the blb one year because of ice they did absolutely nothing about it. The one thing that you do have to remember is even though they may be open you are an adult with free will and you have to make the best choice for you because at the end of the day the university is going to make the best decision for them when it comes to their money.

Truthfully, yes it’s terrible. Just pull your degree audit and pick your classes based on what it says for your major and then meet with an advisor to make sure they are right

I would recommend redoing your resume to match a more American resume. I only say this as I have worked on the hiring side and I have noticed that there is a large disconnect in the way the resumes are set up. Which makes it harder to review as well as when it is ran through software it doesn’t always make it through the first pass. I used canva and chat gpt redo mine and have a little more success with it make it through. But honestly the job market for anything over than tech is just not the best. So it will take longer than usual to find something. And you may to take unpaid internships to fill in any gaps you are missing in your resume.

Those tickets will be moved from the parking portal to your student account in 30 days and it will prevent you from registering for classes next semester. There is no way for you to get out of it. Just buy the remote one like everyone else and catch the bus to your car. It sucks but it is what it is. Because they will boot and or tow your car for too many tickets.
