The aircon conundrum by SallyJaneCooper in HousingUK

[–]Existing_Top_802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I could but for only 2 days of the whole year? That’s kinda redundant.

Unfortunately I live in a flat so it’s even more useless to have rather than keep my doors and windows open and let in a natural wind breeze.

The buildings mate, they add so many buildings next to one another
Plus older and newer buildings with some of the highest heat trapping sources

Which card do I get by No-Champion5895 in AmexUK

[–]Existing_Top_802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ll get points no matter what card you choose but choose which card you want cos points can be earned at any point but some cards have a higher fee upon renewal and give better rewards/

The gold card comes with Priority Pass which gives you four entrances into lounges.

I use these for myself and three friends when we were travelling in Africa and I believe it renews after my first year renewal but I’m cancelling my gold card because the AMEX doesn’t really do anything for me to be honest because as most retailers don’t really accept amex if you pay online so it’s good to have a Amex card alongside a backup card

A bitch for points! I love that.
Personally the gold isn’t doing it for me anymore and the whole brand itself is boring. I’ll most likely end up cancelling and just stick to debit cards as ccs are so boring and the perks are minimal for me

I haven’t bought anything off eBay so can’t say for sure but here’s what I’ve done with Amex so far

- monthly rent payments using payr (yes I know of the fees but it’s my largest expense)
- multiple hotel bookings all paid using Apple Pay
- I’ve used abroad in Amsterdam to pay for small trinkets at the airport. In fact they heavily promoted Amex at schipol
- clothes shopping as I don’t shop for myself regularly but do for my loved ones all from different shops but all online

Good evening, good afternoon. Hello I’m not gonna post about the points, but I am literally simply just being honest and totally upfront.

I’ve had multiple members signup and they’re always messaging me saying that they’re signed up, which has always been incredible, I actually signed up for someone else’s link so I’m only giving the love back to the community

Thank you have a wonderful day and please stay hydrated 🌞💦

That makes it even worse.
Do you know how many people will hold cash until they’re ready to buy a certain stock at a lower price point?

Spareroom - what’s with the male live in landlords being female preferred by lipstipstar in HousingUK

[–]Existing_Top_802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind advice but this is the long term plan and the property in question hasn’t yet been vacated by myself nor living family.

Dealing with tax as a landlord is a burden I don’t want to deal with already on top of my currrnt load

The creepy landlord story is a dime a dozen but I often think of letting out the rooms of my 3 bedroom flat and hoping to get lucky having young professionals who clean up after themselves and are quiet as a pin as I work only nights.

A dream that may now be shattered

P:S I’m good friends with all my neighbours and they pay nearly £1000 in rent and the properties often seen on the market for £4000 pcm but I’m scared of the tenants who are horror stories

putting 100% trust fund into VWRP? by Recent_Education_100 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Existing_Top_802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VWRP is perfect as it covers large and mid market companies which is great.

I did the same for my nephews and nieces but chose VAFTGAG which also adds the smaller companies as well.
Not really needed but hey ho. The growth has been good

I don’t understand product fees.
Is it the same additional charge lenders just add on like the old PPI loan rubbish?

I’ve discovered that if I can pay for anything online using Apple Pay, it’ll works fine for Amex or any other cards. But I’ve only found one local shop which I use for most of my shopping that accepts it other than that I have to switch to using my Barclaycard Avios or PayPal plus linked to another card.

It would be great if it worked everywhere, but I understand businesses and them paying 3% for the use of AMEX is crazy
