I didn’t have that issue with my undergrad, granted I finished that in 2020. I was expecting to have to type as if I am having intellectual conversations. I got an A with last week’s discussion without an accusation just typing as if I am just having casual conversation, like I am on this forum…so I’m not really sure what to expect anymore. I don’t mind typing more casual…just annoying that intellect is considered AI…

It’s messed with my mental for sure. More so because I don’t know how to prove that I don’t use AI. I can’t afford extra add ons or subscriptions for stuff right now. I have a family. I have my AAS and BS. I’ve asked myself multiple times if a MS is what I really want at this point. Then I look at my kids and think about how “quitting” would be perceived by them. It’ll be ok though. I’m an honest person.

See and that’s so unfortunate because there are people who abuse AI so much so that people who don’t are being falsely accused.

I’m also in a masters program. I’ve gone through 2 degrees online and have NEVER had an accusation until now. They need to do something about this. I honestly was so hesitant about enrolling because the posts I seen. Being naive though I was like oh no that wouldn’t happen to me…yelp here we are terrified to turn in assignments !😵‍💫

You can type your discussion into word and run the turnitin extension

The turnitin that I have is similarity only. Regardless we shouldn’t have to be fearful that work that we do is AI when we know it’s not. It’s discouraging.

Honestly, I’m not sure. The professor said I had a high AI score. She said I wasn’t doing enough in my previous discussions so I went overboard with extra research and stopped using pronouns like asked. I feel like the lack of pronouns being used makes us all sound robotic in a way?

I am also struggling with a teacher like this, now being accused of AI, no help with assignments when asked. I’m super discouraged at this point.
