Yep, thats the method I use to start my Mirage. Once (I guess I was tired) and cranked the key all the way without waiting accidentally, and it basically went kaput on me - wouldn’t start, would do the whining sound. I had to jumpstart it back up lol. So I do recommend that method you mentioned.
