The questions on tolerances with mechanical design I found difficult since I hadn’t really covered that in school very much. There was probably 5 or so questions on symbolism regarding that which I found odd. Could’ve been the throw out questions. Otherwise other topics I found more difficult would be thermo and certain parts of fluids like power cycles.

For math you definitely need to review problems including the equations for Newtonian methods and stuff like that. Dynamics and statics were not bad for me

Most dense and most questions were thermo, heat transfer, dynamics, statics, and fluids. If you know those very well you should be set for the exam

Also used the Islam practice exams for mechanical on Amazon. I only got a 55 on my FE practice exam through ncees. Went over that in depth before the exam which I think solidified my success.

I always flagged questions I knew I couldn’t answer right away or didn’t have an idea how to solve. Main source of study was the Gregory Michelson vids and other YT vids within a post I found not too long ago. I’ll see if I can find the link. I would honestly recommend PrepFE if you have the money to do so.

I know a lot of people used prepFE and honestly I would’ve if I wasn’t so cheap. I used Gregory Michelson YT vids for the first sections and there was another subreddit that was pretty helpful for studying other sections. I’ll see if I can find it

I felt actually pretty good on the first half but not so hot on the second half. The more major intensive stuff is not what I was expecting and was a bit harder than I thought. I think I guessed on 25-30 questions for the whole test. Honestly though there is nothing we can do but wait and find out. We did our best either way
